Flanci designer Jan Olive has caught up with the feedback, and has produced a new design, with added Fetch flavour sauce Regarding comments on the previous blog:
Skorts would need a minimum order of 150 units
All legwear incl. the double layered shorts have a zipped pocket and two thigh pockets.
RRP for the leggings is £38.99, and based on a batch of 25, that would be approx. £8 coming to Fetch per pair.

Sounds like you had fun ... but mine looks a bit light on badges, eg only just on half I've got.um
Are you limiting to a certain number, or am I miscounting, or you only selcting the 'top' ones?
The one you show also seems to have the same number as mine - ie max '6' badges to the central one.9:40am, 26th Jan 2022 -
It's great but as um says, mine shows 100 badges, but I have 196 badges. I noticed because it isn't showing any of my cycling badges. No problem if that is intentional though cos it's lovely.Elsie Too9:46am, 26th Jan 2022

Actually, I've just reverted that last change, so they're a bit more spread out again. I feel like the background really makes the image stand out. So you'll have to make do with the lesser badges falling off the edgesfetcheveryone10:35am, 26th Jan 2022

Great initiative. Just wondering if the rings should contain 1, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, etc. rather than 1, 6, 12, 24, 24, 24, … ?JCB10:55am, 26th Jan 2022

It would fill more of the space, but as per the comments above, I reckon it looks better with a bit more space for the outer rings, so that the background is visible too.fetcheveryone11:15am, 26th Jan 2022

The altitude stats in the log are a bit mixed up on the whole. It comes from trying to smush together several different systems, and a whole bunch of different watch models and manufacturers - each of which seems to do something just a little bit differently. I'm just putting that out there first, before I talk about the thing that I've actually changed.
Anyway... when you view a training entry, I've amended the bit that shows the elevation. How the data got there in the first place is beyond the scope of this enquiry
So here's how it used to look (top pic), and how it looks now (bottom pic):
The old 'distribution' graph (top-right) was pretty flaky. So I've ripped it out, and installed the same bit of code that I use here: fetcheveryone.com/training-analysis-hillfinder.php so that it will pull all the biggest hills out of your training run.
Over on the left, the green/yellow stuff was supposed to illustrate differing gradients - but (in my opinion) it always looked a bit of a mess. So I've replaced it with a graphic that shows the locations of all the hills, the amount of climb, and the average gradient.
It's a bit messy if you've got a very busy route - but feel free to post example URLs in the comments for me to have a look at, and I'll do what I can to tidy up. I hope you like the way it looks generally though.

I've never found the graph that you had previously to be confusing. It is definitely down to GIGO in my case - I regularly run below sea level, apparently, and also climb up 20 or 30 metres on loop of a visibly flat field.3M

If you just do one big climb should it show the shading - mines doesn't seem to. Also, at the top of the elevation section it says my total climb for the activity was 645m, but it then says that my individual climb was 648m. Not a big difference and maybe due to rounding, but it would make sense that the total ascent could not be less than the ascent in an individual climb ?K5 Gus

Here's a little side-project. I wanted something that would let me keep track of all the books I have read, and a few little notes, a score etc.
Here's what I've got so far:
fetcheveryone.com/mybooks.php
I know there are other tools out there for doing this, so I won't be offended if others don't use it - but you're very welcome to do so. I will carry on making improvements to it here and there - and I think it has the potential to become an interesting resource. So far there are 41 users and 298 books
NB you might want to create a shortcut to the page, if you're planning to use it regularly. The little white star in the menu bar at the top of the page lets you create a shortcut to any page. And your shortcuts appear right at the very top of the page.

Today I've been putting together a design in Photoshop for a new sharing infographic, which I aim to develop this week.
At the moment, when you share a training entry to your social media, it looks a bit like this:
The first improvement I am hoping to make is to add map tiles, to give the route some context. But then I thought it'd be great to showcase more of what Fetch can do with just a single training entry. So I've cobbled this together:
I haven't built it yet - this is just a first draft of the layout in Photoshop. Don't look too closely at any of the data, because it's largely just nonsense. And the graphics are all a bit scabby and blurry, where I've copy-pasted and resized them from other pages. But if you think it looks good, and would share your own training entries with friends, leave me a comment.
In other news, it's Monday weigh-in day. When we came back from beef-heavy Wales, I was 13st3, but this week I have lost 2lbs. Toot toot! I am back under 13st, and hoping to keep going until I'm about 12st7.

I've been making some adjustments to the badge page: fetcheveryone.com/badges.php A few of the feature requests (1249, 1012) pointed out that it was difficult to see what each badge was for. I am against renaming the badges, because I enjoy thinking up obscure film references and making dodgy puns - but I want to at least make the badges usable.
So I've added in the titles and descriptions for each badge. The badge thumbnails are a bit smaller now, to make a bit more room, and I've done some tidying up generally. Most usability/UX books I've looked at talk about reducing word count as a way of helping the important stuff go in - so I've trimmed down all the fluffy stuff in the description.
Side note: in case you haven't spotted it already, there are new badges for your blog readership. The first one is for getting ten readers, and they go all the way up to 300 readers. Start practising your clickbait titles

A few months back, the folks on the "I've got unicorns in my basket" approached me to see about the potential for some Flanci leggings with a Fetch design.
FYI, this is Flanci: flanciactivewear.co.uk - if you're ever buying from there, use FETCH10 for 10% off.
I sent our latest shirts across to their designer, Jan Olive, and she came up with the following, adding "If you decide to go ahead we could look at incorporating your FETCH logo, maybe on the front of the waistband. On the Ultra shorts it could possibly be added to the outer shorts – FLANCI have their Star logo there presently."
I thought I'd gather some feedback, so if you're a leggings fan, do please leave me a comment with your thoughts. And there's also a poll, just in case you're shy I am trying to work out whether we order a batch, see.

Here's the old desktop page:
and here's the new one:
The swirly pattern appears on badges that you've unlocked, just to give them a bit of extra pizazz And I was just playing about with the gallery, and made a nice triangle pattern to make the first finder look a bit special.

I've added a new bunch of badges which you can trigger/check by visiting this page:
fetcheveryone.com/training-analysis-hillfinder.php
(you can also find the page via Train > Summary & Analysis > Make Mountains).
There's a set for running, one for biking and another for walking. These are only available if your watch records elevation, sorry. [Slightly confusing point: even if your watch does not record elevation, Fetch will sample the route from your training entry and generate an elevation profile - but that doesn't count towards this feature at present, sorry.]
The first badge is for collecting 100 hills in any of the three disciplines over the last 365 days of training. I only have 48 of them for running, because I tend to do the same/similar route through Bedford, and it's an old railway line. Most of my running hills are from runs whilst in other parts of the country. I logged some walking during last year's Castle Challenge, so I've got 79 hills there. But with relatively few bike rides, I've managed to accrue 100 hills, so I scored a sweet badge!
Once you've got 100, the next goal is to collect at least a hundred 25m+ hills, then 50m+, then 100m+.
If you go visit the page, and check each of the three sports, it will trigger a check for you. And you should get the badge pretty soon after that.
Bing bong.

I'm about 10lbs heavier than I'd like to be, after a fairly dismal last quarter of 2021 in terms of running. Plus all the usual bad eating and drinking habits that creep in during the year, and then smash you in the guts over Christmas.
To give me a focus, I am planning ahead to the Hastings Half Marathon, which is on March 20th. It looks like there are already 12 Fetchies signed up, but it'd be great to get as many of you as possible:
fetcheveryone.com/races/hastings-half-marathon-4164583
The website looks like they are still accepting entries. Go on. There are 66 days until the event, which is nearly 10 weeks. That's a nice round number, and a nice chunk of time to commit to seeing what you can achieve. In my case, after a year of calf injuries, I will be more than happy if I get round it in one piece.
We got back from our wedding anniversary week in rural Wales on Monday evening. We did a bit of walking on our week, and I did one hilly run, but mainly we ate lots of food and lazed about in front of a log burner.
Tuesday and Wednesday back at work were a bit manic. 60+ messages in the feedback queue, a whole bunch of emails, 24 prize winners and prize providers to contact, and just getting my head round everything again.
Today was the first day I felt relaxed enough to get some exercise done. I set my alarm, and got out for a little frootle along the canal path with my headtorch. Just a gentle half hour, to end the drought. I look like a minion:
and after a half hour run, I get a lovely dent:
There are a couple of five second videos on my Insta too, if you want to see: instagram.com
And in the spirit of overdoing it, I've also got a swim booked for midday today. I won't be doing two activities every day, but I'm hoping to throw in some more swims, and some biking (when it's a bit less icy) to mix it up a bit and keep the logs burning.

It was our tenth wedding anniversary earlier this week, so we wanted to do something to celebrate it. Getting married so close to Christmas always means that the day itself is about bartered time - and now I guess we're taking a bit back.
I just wanted to let you folks know, so that if the table service is a bit slow this coming week, you know why. As always, I will have my laptop with me - so if anything properly breaks, or if anyone starts/continues being a *.hole on the forum, I will be able to sort it. But minor ailments, feature requests and general administrative tasks will be on the back burner until I get back.
I will take pictures!

There Are Some Really Sexy Girls On Fetch
Comments
I think the red pattern was nice in other design just needed something else like a fetch everyone down the leg, some little FE’s maybe some colours like the rainbow FE buff?
As leggings they are nice and bright but agree too busy on their own
what about like the buff we had (version2? fetch circles?)
I like this design. I'd be shorts and ??double shorts
Capris are the most versatile length I think.
Nothing Rainbow fir definite!!!!
