Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

About Me
Started running in 2009 as a way to lose some weight. Was hopeless, but after building up to 5k at my local Race for Life I was hooked. Moved up to 10k in 2010 and then to Half Marathons in 2011. Followed up eventually with Marathon and Ultra distances despite protesting that I would never do that there was no way in hell I would ever tackle these!
Have discovered that I love running trails. Sometimes too many hills for my liking but I'm getting used to them. Nothing like getting covered in mud! Takes me back to being a kid again :)
I'm just starting to get back into blogging again. You can find it here: joggingmayhem.wordpress.com
2015 was a mixed bag. Had some health issues which included being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I shifted over 30lbs in weight and during 2016 bagged PBs for 5k, 10k, 10 mile, Half Marathon and Marathon in 2016.
Unfortunately 2017 onwards hasn't been so great with a lot of personal stuff happening and the weight creeping back on, but hopefully I'm starting to come out the other side now.
What I most love is encouraging others. I'm a jogscotland leader, and have more recently qualified as an Exercise Referral Instructor and Personal Trainer.
No matter what happens I am the proof that you CAN do it if you put your mind to it :) having just managed a little over 50 miles at Glenmore 24 (07/09/2019).
I've even started cycling, so looking to develop that and my next major goal is Race to the Stones 2021, which I am currently in training for.
