Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

JK is also honest about the fact that he had made mistakes in this year’s race too. So I think there’s more to it as well from his side. Plus the weather…. I think we need to await his longer analysis.

I agree with FF again (rather than just typing something similar 🤣🤣)

How much does it actually cost to enter Barkley Marathon?
I remember reading something about Nicky Spinks sellotaping something like $1.35 to the back of her entry letter.

(Not that it's on my radar at all!)

Something like that plus some random request from Laz, socks, tshirt and a number plate from your home country.

I was talking to John a few days before the race and he said he expects to keep going back every year until he cant. For now anyway.

Another Barkley film. Bit shorter than the others. Some interesting thoughts from John at the end here too.

Before I carry on intermittent research and plump for something, does anyone have any advice for sleeping type kit for the likes of the OMM, i.e. sleeping bag, mat (?), tent. I need some new kit and probably have it in mind to buy once even if I never do the OMM, rather than twice. I notice the kit list for OMM stipulates two-man tent. I was going to buy a new one-man tent, and still may do and end up buying twice here.

Preferably lighter, warmer and cheaper as I can get away with. Bearing in mind the last of the three options probably doesn't suit the first two.

Thanks in advance.
