It's the last day of Yesvember! I figured that it's that time of the year where people will either be preparing themselves to offset the excesses of Christmas; or they will soon be battling its effects! So some changes to the press up counter seemed to be in order. Wait, you didn't know we had a press up counter? Ok, so it was only linked to from the press up thread... but I'll make it more widely available soon. Come take a look at the snazzed up version here:
fetcheveryone.com/training-reps.php
Feature 1024 asked for the press up counter to accept other types of exercise as well. When you click 'Add Exercises', you can now choose your exercise type from a dropdown. There are only a few on there at the moment, but hit me up if you want more adding. The leaderboard now defaults to the total number of reps across all the exercise types, but there's a dropdown at the top of the leaderboard if you want to see a specific rep e.g. sit ups.
Feature 553 asked for monthly totals for press ups. The 'Your Entries' part of the tracker (on right on desktop, under the leaderboard on mobile) now gives you monthly totals as well as showing you the individual entries. I can smarten that up further (maybe by doing some show/hide arrows on the monthly totals), but it's hopefully better than it was.
Feature 1332 asked for the 'Your Entries' data to be presented in reverse order. It makes sense to see your most recent stuff at the top. A straightforward change.
--
I hope you enjoyed following Yesvember! A quick count suggests that I managed to close off 36 feature requests If you'd like to look back at all of them, go to this page: fetcheveryone.com/featurerequests-closed.php Perhaps next year I can beat that figure, as hopefully I won't be moving house right in the middle of it.
The main thing I wanted to illustrate is how quickly the site can adapt to meet the needs of the community, and how useful a tool the feature request system is. In so many places on the internet, it feels like our feedback disappears into a black hole, never to be seen again. It doesn't have to be that way.
--
One more sleep 'til the ninth annual Festive Fetch Calendar kicks off! I have a tradition of staying up 'til midnight to make sure the code is working and I do get genuinely excited to see the first entries come in. And 9 x 24 means that by the end of this year, 216 people will have won prizes in the calendar. I did have one company pull out on Monday - and was tempted to replace them with a tub of lard - but luckily I had a great backup option willing to take their place
Good luck everyone!

Today's feature request was made by the folks on the following thread:
fetcheveryone.com/forum/fetchfestive160point934-60149/
Every year, they attempt to log at least 100 miles (or 160.934km*) of training (of any type) between Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve inclusive. That's 8 days. And according to the thread, they've been at it every year since 2017 It looks like four participants completed the 2021 edition of thechallenge
Feature requests #1534 and #1535 asked me to knock up a little league table for them, and to make some badges. I stuck a bit of drum and bass on, and had at it
There are two badges to be earned, one for completing the challenge, and the other for getting half way. Literally any legitimate training counts.
Join in for 2022
All you need to do is sign up, and the table will automatically pull in the data from your training log.
fetcheveryone.com/league-FetchFestive160point934.php
And because inevitably, someone will ask - the badge check runs hourly - so if you've earned one of the badges, just wait a bit
*it should be 160.9344, but who am I to get in the way of tradition!

Brace Yourself (and there's one spare bobble hat!) and Yesvember - Day #26
12:44pm, 26 Nov 2022
Here I am three minutes after #swimming a mile in 12.7°C water at #woburnlido yesterday afternoon. I am pink, thrilled, and trying to get my layers on as quickly as possible. The hat is always the first bit of clothing to go on. As the temperature keeps getting lower, it takes longer to build up the courage to get submerged, and those first few lengths feel a bit like the cold water is crushing me. Those 'never again' thoughts come at the start, rather than at the end like marathons. But once in, it’s all about keeping moving - and it gradually stops feeling like madness and starts to feel epic.
I have exactly one spare Fetch bobble hat (not the one I am modelling!). It's £25 (as were they all) - if you want it, please leave a comment to say so. First come, first served.
--
I've also closed Feature #1526 "Make utmost tables sortable by distance category. This will help me decide which distance to tackle as my next challenge!"

It turns out that when it comes to putting bobble hats into posting bags, Katie prefers the brim-first, whereas I am a bobble-first kind of chap. Make of that what you will, but the good news is that all the bobble hats are now at the marvellous Oakley Post Office, ready for dispatch to all the lovely Fetchies that ordered.
There were two spares, that I've already offered out to the two people who asked. If you missed out but wanted one, leave me an "aww, shucks" style comment, and I'll look at doing another batch at some point.

I've also just closed Feature #1524 "After the brilliant new weather feature on Training page, which is based on your home location, please could there be a box to specify another location - for researching for upcoming race, or just traveling or anything else? Thanks muchly, G"
There's now a little box above the weather forecast that lets you put in a placename.

Two more sleeps until the Bass Belle 10 miler on Sunday. Feels a bit weird entering a race where I will not go as fast as I can manage... but perhaps it's the new fashion. There's a bit of rain forecast, so I will have to dig out my special vesty man bra to help ensure I don't grate my own nipples off

Following on from yesterday's blog, I've also applied the 'drag to sort' approach to the 'Useful Links' box on threads, as per the now-closed feature #1092. The thread owner can adjust the links to put the most useful ones at the top.
This link shows all the feature requests that I've closed recently, so you can catch up on what I've been up to:
fetcheveryone.com/featurerequests-closed.php
NB for anyone who finds a bug with anything I do, please report it via the feedback mechanism. This allows me to reply to you directly, without your messages getting lost in blog comments: fetcheveryone.com/feedback-contact.php
You'll also see that I've closed feature #1530 - adding a subcategory of 'Sprint' to the running categories. Another 20 second job
--
I also set about trying to achieve Feature #30 "Show the recorded temperature during an activity in the training entry. Just like Garmin Connect does.".
The problem is that the data I am seeing is almost completely bollocks
Yesterday, I ran at 1.35pm. Just a 5k, exploring a few streets around the new house. Garmin reports an average of 17.4°C, with a high of 24°C and a low of 14°C - all happening within the space of 30 minutes. But the Met Office observations for that time put the temperature at 9°C!!! I reckon I've been running long enough to know the difference between 14°C and 9°C - and it sure wasn't the former.
I think that it's inevitable that the watch is cosying up to my hairy wrists for that bit of extra warmth - but it does make just about all temperature readings from the watch totally unreliable. At least, that's my experience. It's probably at its least accurate during cold weather, where the difference between ambient temperature and wrist temperature is at its greatest.
But there's one saving grace, which means that I'll go ahead with storing temperature data from here on. When we go swimming (particularly as the weather has gotten colder) there's always a great deal of interest in the temperature of the water. 16°C was the cutoff for me for swimming in the lake without a suit; although I've managed to cope in skins at the lido at 13°C.
The lakes and lido all have thermometers - and I've noticed that my watch is usually pretty accurate. Maybe showing at most 1°C higher than the advertised temperature - but always tracking it pretty closely. There's probably some sort of scientific reason for this. I figure that the water will conduct the heat away from your wrists pretty quickly, so the ambient temperature has less competition. If you do science, please explain
So if your watch records temperature, new training entries from here on will include a temperature reading - but please take it with a pinch of salt (that'll increase the boiling point). I'll let it run for a few weeks, or maybe even a few months - and see if there's any interesting swimming data to be had It's about time that swimming data got a bit of a break. The GPS traces are laughable

Do all watches record temperature? I thought it just got it from an Internet weather source on Garmin connect? Good workings. How's new hoose? GHappyG(rrr)12:14pm, 24th Nov 2022

My watch is pretty accurate when sea swimming. The rest of the time it plucks a number it likes. 🤣1step2far1:22pm, 24th Nov 2022

HG, most of the watches with barometric altimeters do (the chip includes a temperature sensor to compensate for temperature). Connect shows both that as a graph and a weather forecast value.Badger
I have a Tempe external temperature sensor which is much more accurate if you keep it out of direct sunlight.1:39pm, 24th Nov 2022 -

Training Graph Manager - usability update (Yesvember Day #23)
11:26am, 23 Nov 2022
If you go to the training home page:
fetcheveryone.com/training-home.php
you get a bunch of graphs outlining your recent training. I normally have my default graph set to 'Weekly Run Distance', and then a few other favourites to page through.
If you click the green 'Settings' button, it'll take you to a page where you can choose which graphs you want, along with some parameters like the number of weeks to show; and the time period for the rolling data. You can choose from 80 different graphs, spread across run, bike, swim, walk, cross training and a few summary graphs on top.
Up until today, amending your graphs was not very usable. Here's the old page:
Each time you added a graph or changed the order of the graphs, the whole page would reload. And if you have (say) a dozen graphs in play, and wanted to move a graph from last place to first, you'd have to click the little blue up arrow a dozen times. Each time, this would make the whole page reload, so you'd lose track visually of where your graph was in the list, and have to find it again before doing your next click. Cumbersome, tiring, off-putting, and just shit frankly.
The new version looks very similar:
but the blue arrows have been banished. Instead of a one-at-a-time action, you can now drag and drop the graphs in your top list without any page reloading. When you click the graphs from the 'Available Graphs' list, they join the bottom of 'Your Chosen Graphs', also without reloading the page. In theory it should make updating your choices a lot easier.
For good measure, I've also removed the 'Confirm' button that was in the header - so you can also change the number of weeks or the rolling period without needing that extra press.
--
Technically, that's not a feature request - but it's a relatively simple example of browser-based sorting for me to cut my teeth on. And there are multiple feature requests (104, 239,1092, 1464 & 1514) that would make use of the same techniques.

I haven't forgotten about this - but I most definitely overestimated my ability to work on the site whilst moving house I'm not at home today, but tomorrow I'll share some pics of the new Fetch Office. Or Foffice, if you like. Or feel free to suggest a name for it when you see it.
Anyway... just to tick the box today, Feature #1528 asked for a new subcategory of running called 'Tired'. I've added this to the list of available options, and you can choose which categories to include on your list here: fetcheveryone.com/training-categories.php
So yes, it feels like a bit of a cheat to rely on a feature that took me all of twenty seconds to complete. But it does highlight how quickly the feature request process can work. If a change is simple, and has no negative impact on anyone, then even if it's not yet picked up a lot of votes, I am happy to sort it.
For me, the feature request list is a wonderful rummage box full of ideas. If an idea gets lots of votes, it gets in front of my face most often - but I do like a delve to the bottom of the Lego sometimes. Submit your feature requests and vote for your favourites here:
fetcheveryone.com/featurevoting
PS if I can knock off a few more features today I will, but I am also getting prepped for the Festive Fetch Calendar. Toot toot! Did you know that this will be its ninth year? Madness

Some updates for you:
1) #798 asked for a way to group your badges to see the countries you've visited more easily. If you go here fetcheveryone.com/badges.php the default sort order now shows your most recent badges first. But there's a dropdown where you can group by type. It's a bit of a hash, but it does bring all your country badges together.
2) #1512 asked for an 'Indoor' category for running. Simple. And done fetcheveryone.com/training-categories.php
3) #966 asked for a 'club run' category, which was later amended in the comments to 'social run'. That's in your category list now. fetcheveryone.com/training-categories.php
4) A nice one to end on. #1493 asked for the 'play' button to be added to the 'Compare Runs' page. Click the weighing scales icon next to a few runs you want to compare [works best when they are on the same route]. The comparison page now has a play button, so you can watch all your attempts Benny Hill their way around the map.
--
And that's me signing out until Tuesday (barring any fires with the site). The house is mostly all packed, I just need to find a box with airholes for Stephen.
We went for a swim at Woburn Lido today. 13 degrees - about 4 degrees colder than a fortnight ago. Still managed a skins swim, but I got the shivers for the first time post-swim. And we stopped at a garden centre in Woburn, and saw Greg Rutherford having brunch - just about ten minutes after we drove past his sculpture. Every time we go past it, I work on my movie idea about his early life and how he found his way to long jumping. In the first scene he is being pursued by bullies at school, intent on beating him up. He runs towards a river, but there’s no escape. A wizened old long jumper watches him get pummelled. Later he teaches him how to jump across the river. It's called Jumpy Boy.

Weather on the training home page watch. Have you got weather on the training home page? (Yesvember - Day #10)
1:32pm, 10 Nov 2022
Not technically a feature, but something I fancied doing
If you've specified your location in your settings, you should now get a weather feed on the main training page:
fetcheveryone.com/training-home.php
It's down a bit, you might have to scroll. Here's a blurry screenshot of it:
I've noticed that I check the weather a bit more these days, especially when deciding which day will be good for a swim, which for a ride, or a run, or for staying indoors.
It's the free version of an API from these folks: visualcrossing.com - so I'll keep an eye on how much usage it gets. I've done a few (totally above board) coding tricks to make sure our usage hopefully stays below the '1000 data requests per day' threshold - like adding some rounding to latitude/longitude when I make the calls (so everyone in Bedford will fall under one request); caching the data for a couple of hours to stop people spamming the refresh button; and making it only visible when you're logged in.
Have a look, and let me know if you think it's useful. I could fairly easily beef it up with a few icons and colours to represent temperatures - that sort of thing.

There were 43 upvoters, and 10 (ten!) gold tickets riding on it.
You can now earn a badge for collecting all ten Rundle digits in a single outing; and there's another badge for your tenth Rundle win. Have fun with that. I've amended the Rundle page a little bit to show only the recent winners, using the space to show a 'most wins' leaderboard instead:

It's been a while since I had a rant about the corporate online land grab. In the last couple of weeks, we've seen Elon Musk spend $44bn buying Twitter. And aside from the potential far right returners to the platform, the other worrying things have been the laying off of lots of staff, and the introduction of a payment structure. It seems that he's thinking as much about the bottom line as he is about cloudy goals regarding free speech.
It's not unprecedented, and it's not going away. Big companies exist to make money, so isn't it completely normal? Yes. It's capitalism, and capitalism has become normal in our world. And it's based on the idea that the only value worth pursuing is monetary value - no matter how much is carefully spent on making us feel all cosy and warm about brands. I think about this every time I want to contact my energy company, or broadband provider. We've got your money, now stop bothering us. Want to cancel? Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure? Press 'maybe' if you don't want to not cancel. Good luck with that.
The world doesn't have to be like this.
There is value in me helping you to enjoy and/or improve your health through exercise. There is value in you helping each other. A friendly comment here. A bit of advice on the best way to tie your laces there. A quiet fmail asking someone if they're ok, and actually listening to the answer. It's a part of the internet that we should never allow to be fenced off. It has a value you can't put a price on.
Fetcheveryone is always going to be free to use. There will never be a special room for the affluent. Paywalls can go fuck themselves. If you're here, you get everything I can give you. All I need is enough people to understand this, and enough people willing to support the idea. And this community will look after itself. Verify that Elon.

So tired today. There's a week to go until we move, and I've been juggling work, running and packing jobs. I guess all of that might be a bit more interesting than feature requests
I've taken a bunch of books and bottles to the recycling centre; taken a decade of old paperwork to the local shredding company (bargain - £10 cash - no feeding one sheet at a time into an asthmatic home shredder); and packed all but the bare essentials from my home office into a box. I like the minimalist look though I've also counted out the number of dishwasher tablets that we'll need, and put the rest ready to go in a box; and every day, something else disappears from the cupboards.
We went on a family holiday to Spain once. My mam doesn't like the heat, so we'd always go in October half term, and I think the hotel was just about ready to shut shop for the winter. Every evening, the number of lit windows in the hotel would decrease - like a ship sinking and losing power. And a maintenance man removed the steps from the swimming pool whilst someone was still swimming in it. That's a bit like how our week has been.
First thing this morning I did my longest run for a while (I've linked it in the header of this blog - see yesterday's blog for details). After a lot of disruption post-injury in late July, I'm hopefully putting together a nice block of running. Back in May I'd got my VO2max (according to Garmin) up to 52. It had fallen to 48 by late September, but it's crept back up to 50 now, and my HR stats are improving bit by bit.
I've been in touch with my friend Steve, who I am running the Bass Belle 10 with. He's been running about a minute a mile quicker than me, and referring to it as 'conversational pace'. I can probably match his pace, but will let him do all the talking! But I'm very happy to have got to a point where I know the distance won't be an issue.
Katie got home from work and suggested we got a McDonald's from across the road. It won't be long before we *don't* live right next door to one; so we've reasoned that if we're going to develop a 'convenient McD's' habit, the last week of a 10 year stay might not do too much harm
So today's feature then.
Feature #1507 - JoeBaker suggested that the Pre Race Training Analysis should *not* include race day. The thinking was that it including the race itself would throw off the pace and HR data for the *pre-race* training. I agreed. 24 people agreed. No-one disagreed. One person (presumably Joe) gave it their gold ticket. And it took me about 10 minutes to sort. You can find this page here: fetcheveryone.com/training-prerace.php (or via Train > Summary & Analysis > Pre-race Training Analysis).
I've also got ahead of myself and done tomorrow's feature. Well done if you've spotted it already

Two blog-based features to point you at today.
Feature #1274 is a simple one. The green ticks on the blog list that show which ones you've read... they now appear on the 'featured blogs' list on the blogs page too. Consistency = WIN!
Feature #1264 asked for the ability to link a blog entry to a training entry. There were 60 yes votes and three golden tickets riding on this one. On the 'add' and 'edit' screens for blogging, you should now see an extra dropdown below the main text box. This will allow you to choose from any of the last 14 days of training entries. If you tie your blog to a training entry, a link to the training entry appears just below the blog title when viewers look at your blog. I've tied this blog to my swim from Friday - look up, can you see it? It links through to the actual training entry.
--
That's it for today. We are moving in 8 days time, so it's all cardboard boxes, decluttering and allen keys here.

Oscar - I’m not sure about that. The knee issue I had feels like it adjusted my gait and caused the calf tightness. The shoes have been brilliant. Just a quick one today - and technically it's not a feature request from the list - but I come up with my own sometimes
Introducing the Ultra League - see the year's longest performances by distance. Inevitably there'll be a few in these lists that need correcting [I'll add the ability to query a listing at some point] - but there's a whole bunch of interesting rides, runs, swims and walks to look at. People do amazing things!

Today I swam at Spring Lakes in Long Eaton.
Last week I did 2.4km (three laps) in 58 minutes at Box End, and I wanted to increase my distance a little bit.
The usual lake at Spring Lakes is about 0.9 miles round - so my plan was to see if I could get round twice. But the usual lake was closed because they don't open it if the water temperature is below 12°. Today it was 11°.
Instead there's a smaller lake, which I've never swum in before. It has a nice sandy getting-in beach, which is a treat after picking my way over the stones at Box End. Note to self: Llyn Padarn has a slate bottom, so could be quite sharp.
Not knowing the distance, I settled instead for just increasing time - a goal of 1hr10. I'm trying to be very conscious of my body temperature, and there's nothing good that'd come of pushing my swimming too far this side of warmer weather.
The laps were much smaller - typically around 7 minutes for each one - which meant I could aim for a nice round 10 laps. Here's the absolute dog's dinner of a trace that I got:
The problem with swimming GPS is that your watch can't see the sky when it's under water - which is approximately half of the time. So the number of data points you get are reduced; and the number of batshit ones caused by a half-dunked watch are increased.
Here's roughly what the lap should look like:
The consensus amongst Spring Lakes swimmers is that the lap round the outside of the buoys is somewhere between 300 and 350 metres. I will take that with both hands, as that gives me a 3km swim, and my first length of Llyn Padarn in the bank. Assuming it's as swimmable
I coped ok with the cold post-swim. Woolly hat straight on (Katie's Rule #1), and no faffing around with my make up Layer up, and get home. My feet were the only tricky bit - they took a couple of hours to get back to their normal temperature.
I probably won't aim to go any further this side of warmer weather, but it's a nice milestone to have hit. If only theoretically

I never swim (pool or OW), but I thought swimmers put their GPS watch inside a swim cap, so that it's above water all/most of the time. The obvious down side is you can't see it - which is OK if you're doing x laps, but not if you're swimming for a set time.K5 Gus7:49pm, 4th Nov 2022

Today's Features
Feature #226 asked to be able to split a training entry into two parts to see if there was a negative split. In the dropdown just above the barchart, there are a few new options 'Halves', 'Thirds' and 'Quarters'.
Aside: did you know that McDonald's trialled a third-pounder burger way back in the day? But it wasn't well-received, because the audience didn't want 'a smaller burger'. See snopes.com
Feature #1296 asked for a badge for completing Marcothon (see fetcheveryone.com/forum/marcothon-48169/ for details). I've created the badge, so have fun this December trying to unlock it

I’m going to see it tomorrow and have been playing the original cast recording on my runs as my mum and sister know ALL the songs. There are some good stirring tunes to run to. I have ‘Can you hear the people sing’ on a playback loop in my brain now.TheScribbler3:57pm, 4th Nov 2022

It's Day 3 of Yesvember - in which I try to resolve at least one feature request every day during November.
Today's Feature
Feature #956 asks to be able to see where your benchmarks occurred on a particular piece of training.
I like this one! I can look at my bike rides and find out which portion of road I did my fastest 10k on, so I can go there again and try to beat it.
To make this work, visit any of your training entries e.g. here's a bike ride I did:
fetcheveryone.com/t-19874438
Put your mouse over one of your benchmarks in the header of your training entry. The map will zoom in and a black line will appear to indicate where the benchmark was. It will disappear again when you move your mouse off.
I've just realised that because you can't 'mouse over' on mobiles, this feature is only available to those of you with mice. I'll have a think and see what I can do about that. I might add it as a map layer.
This feature should work for all training imported in the last year. Before that, the black lines may all bunch up at the end of your route. The start point and duration of every benchmark is stored in a database table with over 30 million rows - and about a year ago I noticed that the start points had a bug. I corrected it from that point onwards, but going back and recalculating the start points is not a trivial task. Again, I'll see if I can sort it at some point.
--
If you're enjoying Yesvember, you can find a link to suggest a feature request (and to, please, vote on the ones you want to see happen) at the bottom of every page. Or you can just click here: fetcheveryone.com/featurevoting

Excellent, I was going to point out just a couple of days ago that Runalyze does this (I'd only spotted it this week). Can be excellent for reviewing where things went right / wrong in races.larkim10:07am, 3rd Nov 2022

Works for me on Chrome for Android if I long-press the benchmark, click back to remove the context menu, then scroll down to the map... But unwieldy, but yeah...ishep10:04pm, 3rd Nov 2022
Thanks for all your lovely comments on yesterday's Yesvember blog.
Every day this month, I will attempt to resolve at least one item from the feature request list. There's good value for money today with six features for the price of one, although one of which I am resolving by deciding not to do it.
Vote for your favourite features here:
fetcheveryone.com/featurevoting
(link also at bottom of every page on the site).
Today's Feature(s)
Today I've made a few adjustments to our Trader game:
fetcheveryone.com/trader
Feature #1161 asked for the ability to see the total 'bought' and 'current' prices for all the runners in your portfolio - so you could see at a glance whether you'd had a good day. These totals now appear at the bottom of your portfolio. I will also close off Feature #611, as it seems to be asking for the same thing.
Feature #1102 asked for the ability to add a 'protect' button to help avoid accidentally selling a runner from your portfolio. I've added little lock symbols next to each runner in your portfolio. In addition, I've amended 'Sell all runners' to be 'Sell all your unprotected runners' - it will retain any that have been protected. I reckon this covers what was asked for in Feature #971 too (the ability to separate your portfolio into short and long term holds).
Feature #1067 asked for the messages in the ticker to be time-sensitive, as some are only relevant on the day. But I decided to turn this one down, sorry. Each message in the ticker is dated - so I reckon it's reasonably clear which ones still apply. Caveat Emptor and all that.
Feature #951 asked for badges to reflect the number of investors that each runner has. I've added new badges for reaching 10, 25 and 50 investors. The current most-invested runner has 41 backers - so no-one has the 50 badge just yet, but there are 19 of you with the 25 investor badge, and over 300 with the 10 investor badge.
In order to find room for some of the changes, I've made some layout tweaks. The FESE100 and FESE250 scores now appear in the ticker, and the 'Biggest Risers' and 'Biggest Fallers' tables now appear underneath the Trader leaderboard. This means that the desktop version now has a wider space for your runner portfolio.
--
PS Don't forget to enter the Advance Performance competition if you'd like to win your choice of trainers: fetcheveryone.com/competition-advanceperformance.php

This blog has led me to notice a few things, however, which are a little twitch-inducing:
- the FESE scores have unresolved opening brackets
- saying or thinking "FESE" makes me grimace a bit
- those of us in the 1% with massive portfolios have our six-digit totals wrap on to a second line
- those of us in the 1% with massive portfolios have to scroll quite a bit to find the new totals, unless we search for "tradable runners" to jump to the right bit of the page
- You use both "tradeable" and "tradable" (both are correct, though, so this is fine, I suppose 😰)10:19pm, 2nd Nov 2022 -

My plan during November is to add at least one new feature from the Fetch feature list every day. That's 30+ new features. Some will be big, and some will be small (we are moving house on the 15th, so I need to plan ahead for that).
My goal is to highlight the flexibility of the site - and to get more people used to the idea of proposing and voting for features. At the bottom of every page on the site you'll find the 'Suggest A Feature' link. On that page, you can read and search through all the features that have been proposed. To date, there are 549 open features, and 933 closed ones.
You can also vote yes on **up to** 175 features (it won't let you add yes votes if you're above this figure - you'll have to undo some). And you can apply your 'golden ticket' to one feature too - if it's the thing that will make you happiest.
Here's a quick link, but do go find the link in the footer too:
fetcheveryone.com/featurevoting
Today's Feature(s)
Feature #1506 asked for a notification if a person's route becomes Route of the Day. A simple one to get started, so I also ticked off #1406, which lets you see all of your routes which have been ROTD in the past. To see this, just go to Routes > Route of the Day > See your own appearances.
--
In non-feature news, but still very exciting news, we have a new Member of the Month sponsor. At the moment, you're currently voting for October - and the winner of *that* will get the last Advance Performance voucher. But the November winner will pick up a snazzy head torch, safety light and key torch from Ledlenser.co.uk - you can have a gander at the prizes here: fetcheveryone.com/motm
