macapple Great race. I thought the starting pens worked really well this year. Huge improvement from when I did it in 2012 and had to climb over the barriers to get in. I went in the 1:45-2:00 pen and crossed the line in 4 minutes. Toilet queue was awful but no worse than other races I've done.

K-Bal Absolutely agree with Pingu99 about the council showing hints at ripping runners off - slowly increasing the fee over the last few years, withdrawing free parking, using an entry system that adds over £2 to the fee, etc. Shame, as almost everything else about the race is fantastic. Marshals, volunteers, spectators and fellow runners all go towards making it a wonderful, friendly event.

Starting pens not supervised, complete free for all, didn't even hear the gun! Was pleased to be given a technical T-shirt, offered in choice of sizes, S,M,L. Ally2 great eastern run. knew ben would be a target and I went with him. Through 3 miles in 15:00, 10k in 31:17 (still felt ok), 10 mile in 50.54 (hanging in). last 5k in 15:52. 10 sec pb. had to cope with a stitch at 8 due to uneven road surface and dave Wardle coming back to me at half way. It went fairly quickly. Ben left me at half way and i shook Dave off at 9 mile.

Ricardo So I wanted to have a trial of my hopeful marathon pace, and intended to follow the 1:40 pacers. This went ok for about a mile, but just got annoying. Ended up just doing a faster manageable pace.

jlucas My best race in ages in terms of executing a plan and just a shame I didn't trust my training and doubted myself. Very happy with a 40 second pb but the competitor in me still wants a sub 80minute half!

Pingu99 I can't believe that the start was so poor, it took over 10 mins to get over the line (and I was in the 1:45 funnel. The course was also long (my Garmin said 13.28 anyone else any comments). Being a Peterborough resident and with the course going virtually past my front door I feel the need to support it but I also feel that the runners are being used as a cash cow for the council. To all those supporters and marshalls a big thanks you were awesome and the water stations were well managed (but could do with bins to drop your bottles in). Will I do it again probably but come on Peterborough City Council raise your game all the runners do.
