Thorney Running Club is a small club based in Thorney and Whittlesey 7 miles east of Peterborough.
Training takes place on Mondays 6.45 at Thorney and 7pm in Whittlesey; at 7pm on Wednesdays in Whittlesey; and Fridays at 6.00 pm for juniors and seniors at Manor Leisure Centre, Whittlesey
The club organises 3 races per year.
The next next Thorney 10k and 3k fun run takes place in 2016, the next Thorney 5 mile and 3k fun run takes place on 23rd August 2015 . The club organises a 3k/5k Grand Prix event and the next event is on 8th July 2015 at Ferry Meadows.
We are a small happy club, not the fastest, but probably the most supportive!

Club Sessions
Monday
Meet at 7.00pm at Manor Leisure Centre, Whittlesey, Near Peterborough - train on country cycle paths in summer and run a 5 mile loop of Whittlesey in the Winter. There are usually 2-3 groups running at different paces.
We also run a training session from Thorney park meeting at 6.45pm for children & adults at different paces, children will run around the park & most adults run a 5 mile village route.

Friday evening runs (Restarts 17th March 2017) for children and adults, on grass around the Whittlesey Manor field, Adults and Juniors welcome - timed runs start at 5.30pm- Meet by Whittlesey Cricket Club/Football Club changing rooms. A series of short races and relays, good fun for the kids and useful speedy training for the adults!
