Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Fitguy Caught the 6.34am train up, meeting Nick at Faversham. It was perfect conditions for this well organised race through London's landmarks, and we were in the Red A pen, so a bit nervous about getting in the way of the really fast runners! Cloudy but not cols & only light wind. Nick & I went off well & he was only 20secs back at 5k.
I kept up a fast pace throughout & felt the pain for the last 2 k, but beat the 42 minutes mark (as instructed by Flo) finishing in a new PB of 41'54 - and I was amazed to see I was 1st in the

FitterStu Ran well for first 7K and then started to struggle. Still a PB, but may have been worse actual performance than Edinburgh, 3 weeks before. It is possible that standing, jumping and drinking in pub watching Rangers win the league on the afternoon before may have caused some extra fatigue.

The course was excellent and was really well organised. Good atmosphere and the weather got it just about right.

Footpad It cannot possibly rain anymore than last year! Was my fave 10K of last year tho :-)

Another new shiny PB!! Oh and I went through 5 miles faster than 2 weeks ago so I can do that quicker too! Was a great run. Race very well organised. Route is magic especially through Ledenhall Market, past St Pauls, Mansion House.... totally PB-Tastic! Official time 3 secs quicker than Garmin!

Saw One Ronaldo, Ragged Sporran, DIYDiva, BCRB and Gymfreak. Was a good day to be running... no monsoon rain, sun stayed hidden behind light cloud... :-)

oceanspirit I am really pleased with my time. I knew I wasn't going to do better than a PB. My goal was to get around without the my hamstring stopping me. And I achieved my goal! My hamstring was alright all the way round the course. The one and only time I actually felt any little niggle was doing a 90degree turn towards the horse guards after the 9k mark.

The weather was much better this year which made the course much more enjoyable. I loved coming around to the corner to see St. Pauls Cathedral. Loved running up towards trafalgar square. Loved running down the Mall. Loved starting at Buckingham Palace.

I know I can go quicker too as I'd only done 43 miles since 26th April. Great event, lots of support and supert drummers. Garmin had it as 6.41 miles but then it always over eggs it, doesn't it!

Steve Bienvenu Awesome race!!! Due to injury I was struggling to even run 6 miles in the weeks uilding up to the race and I couldn't run any faster then 6:30 pace in training.

When I got to the start line I realised I was starting about 10metres behind Mo Farah, so that got my adrenaline running, My pla was to take it easy but when the race started I just got carried away with the crowd, my first 2 miles were 5:30 and 5:40 which I knew was way too fast but it felt comfortable.

I managed to stick to 6min miles after this and it was only with 1.5 miles left I really started to struggle because of the lack of training.

I managed to put in a strong sprint finish which got me across the line in 38:10 and I finished 73rd out of 12,500.

Doing it again this year, hopefully sub 37min and another top 100 finiah
