I'm a running musician/researcher/philospher, and I returned to running in my thirties in the aftermath of being diagnosed with a malignant disease of the bone marrow called myelodysplasia (MDS). From that fearful place, I've grown stronger, and am now fascinated with what we humans can achieve, even in dire circumstances. Now, I'm running for the love of it, and because I want to test the limits of what can be done, and to write this story down, in the hope that it might help others. I'm also fundraising for the Anthony Nolan Trust as part of this big project, and am in the process of completing the World Marathon Majors as part of that effort. My next big race to that end is FLM 2009, with Chicago and Boston to complete the set by 2010! www.justgiving.com/darla
