Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Cormorant A local event for me and one I'll go back to. I thought it was going to get very hot as we came round the first of two loops - and I was glad there was no hosepipe ban in Mole Valley as we came past the water station at midway - but the conditions were good for running. I kept expecting to feel bad, but didn't, missed the 7-mile marker so the next one I saw was at 8 miles and even managed a sprint finish through the rugby posts on Brockham Big Field.

funkin This was a training run for me. I chose to cycle 21 miles from home to the race to get some muti-sport practice in! Ran amazingly steady paced and enjoyed it. The last couple of miles were hard but to be expected (as I ran here last year).

gray Well-organised (the race not me...) and testing (especially for those who have hardly run for a bus in the last fortnight). Had no thoughts while running except regret at the excess of the night before. Been there, got the t-shirt and now the serious stuff starts with NY in November only 5 months away - need to shed 3 stone and start posting the odd pb.

Lalli I am training for this and aiming for as close to 1 hour 30 as possible. Race now entered and confirmed. Rich's running partner Bill will be my pace maker on the day.
Update: PB attained! The course was different from when I ran it a couple of years ago - couple of undulations at the end made it a little harder than I would have liked for a decent finish, but very happy with time!

ninjaman Second long hill a bit of a killer for me. Took me a good couple of minutes to get myself together. Annoyed for not going under 1@08 but quicker than Maidenhead and a tougher course.

The great dollop A cool breeze in almost muggy conditions held the temperature at, or mildly just above perfect. A good finish by most - which by the look of things indicated lots of PBs going down. The evidence is now online at the SussexSportPhotography.com gallery - type in fetch in the search box to see fetchers...

The Outlaw Reasonable start, but struggled over last 3 miles. Too hot and humid. Pleased with 2nd place V50, but disappointing, slow time. Fairly flat, two laps. 1m@6:07; 2m@12:30; 3m@18:40; 5m@31:30, 6m@37:45.
