Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

About Me
Discovered running in my mid-20's, best thing I ever did. Great for self confidence, fitness and weight loss (apart from when injured)!

Mum to 2 gorgeous boys (born in 2008/2011) and have had my best running years since becoming a Mum, perhaps due to an increased focus on juggling the balance between family, work and running and therefore making every session count.
Half marathons remain my preferred distance and I regularly do 5ks thanks to the awesomeness of parkrun. I also race the odd 10k and 5m usually as part of local leagues and whilst I will never be at the sharp end of the competition, I have been known to win the odd 2nd or 3rd in category in recent years.

Late 2015 / early 2016 was the pinnacle of my running 'career' and I set my lifetime best times across the board - whether or not any of these will be achievable in future who knows, but I train hard and smart with the slightly limited time I have whilst juggling family and full time work.

2019 will continue where 2018 left off, building on the improvements I made last year. My main aim is to get below 90 mins for HM again which gives me the option to run London in 2020, to bash out some sub-20 5ks and possibly to trouble some of my other short distance PBs. Marathons remain on the back burner, though I still have a sense of unfinished business so 2020 may be the year I go back, but that requires some base and endurance building in Autumn 2019, so it really depends how Spring goes first.

My overall priority remains to enjoy running, to keep fit, healthy and injury-free and to make every session count.
