Running Fish what a load of big woofly pants. never in the history of athletic endeavour has such a massive positive split been recorded. i knew we'd all set off too quick, partly due to the tailwind, and also down to race ignorance, but i just couldnt pull myself out of it. was going fine up to about 18 miles, but finished the last 6 being overtaken by asthmatic pensioners out walking their dogs. credit to the organsiers and marshalls for a great race, (with the possible exception of the seperate number and chip collection arrangement), and will hopefully be back to recover some credability next year.

CJO Three quarters of this race is fine. The last quarter, over the seven sisters is hell. Ran a good pace but nearly cramped up on the hills.

Silver Strider Reached mile 16ish in under 2 hours. Left knee had been giving gip from about 9 miles. Walked last 10 miles in a lot of pain. Could not bend leg or load the joint. Particularly painful downhill. Once it had gone completely numb I tried to run again several times. Couldn't even start though. Disappointing end. Likely to have finished in 3:30ish and top 20 place.
