I'm afraid I've been down with a chest infection for 2 weeks so very reluctantly had to pull out of the half.
Very frustrating - just hope I can get back in shape in time for the London marathon :-(

Blister Well part from the crappy weather, VERY muddy runners village and start being delayed by 1 hour the race was good, weather cleared up by the time we started but was still pretty cold (arms were numb the whole time) but good conditions for running. Well OK I had a bad run, had stitch until about about 5 miles then had little energy and felt 'weak' after that until the end but I still took over 5 minutes off my previous PB plus ran a 10 mile PB too (1:03:35) and enjoyed having so many spectators on the course. My finish position was 237 out of 10054. Anyway I had a great time with SarahL and that really made my weekend...thank you Sarah :-)

WineRunner52 Quite happy with time - not dead flat and the delay and cold probably didn't help. Weather is beyond organiser's control - but it had been predicted for at least 3 days and I still don't know why the start was delayed. Tried to park at Lansdown P & R - gave up as probably no spaces but the queue for the bus (where were they!!) was horrendous. However found a car park near start and exit after race was easy. Finish was a melee - missed both drink and space blanket - and why isn't the T-shirt a

norm1976 My first race, have right knee injury but chose to ignore it! No problems with organisation, arrived early for park and ride and only waited 5 minutes for the bus. The only negatives I have is that the runners village looked like a battlefield!also some of the marshalls/stewards were a bit rude,( and obviously the 1 hour delay was not brilliant.) But despite that enjoyed the experience and raised lots of money for charity.

tjrunning I never run very well at Bath (this will be my 4th) but I am optomistic that with the right training I will achieve my target of 1 hr 40

Well the delayed start did me no favours (although it did mean that it did not rain during the race) as I got my hydration all wrong and had to do a 'Paula' but actual running time was good. I went of at a moderate pace (for once) and was then able to finish the race strongly, first 10km was 49 mins. I missed out on a PB but overall was happy with my performance.

gray 10 secs off a pb - this I put down to training, running 3 miles each way to work carrying a backpack loaded with a copy of Runners World and the previous week's Sunday Times, or it could have been the best part of a family pack of Minstrels I scoffed the day before.....anyway, the delays and general faff at both ends were more than made up for by the fact that this is a good, flat, very well supported race in a great city with a top goodie bag (if you could lay your hands on one, of course....). However, the glimpse of the runner dressed in only (his wife's?) lime green leotard is still giving me nightmares.
