Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Ally C Loch Ness Marathon. Ran better than I expected and wished I went a bit quicker at the start. No repeat of the cramp I got last time I did Loch Ness. Paced it well and was strong on the Dorres Hill (miles 17/18). Happy Days.

captain catastrophe Typical Scottish marathon -started in rain and finished in lovely warm sunshine. Good to do something different to Edinburgh and a good challenging course - hills and a lovely stretch by the Loch - really enjoyed it!

connelld The first time I've ran this and I was dubious of it being hilly. However, most og the course is rolling with just a double hill stinger on the 19th/20th mile. Conditions were good and I knocked just over 3 minutes of my PB.

Tick Tock Tim No longer a marathon virgin.
Notes from the day: buses at Bught park for 7.30 but didnt actually get to the drop off area til 9.35, so just had to leave bag and start running. It was cats n dogs for first 6 miles, then drizzle mostly, with sun for the last 45 mins.
Did the first half around 2h 2, 13-18 tried to prepare for the Dores hill. Felt really strong going up it (too strong?!), overtook loads of people but paid the penalty about 1m after the top. From 20 1/2 onwards it was gruelling, despite being mostly flat/ downhill. Good support in Dores and last 2-3 miles. Felt like I was running backwards in the final bit. Overall really enjoyed it, happy with this as my first run. Wouldnt do too much different training wise, some wee pointers though.
