Melksham runner Race started well. On track for sub 3:35 until 23 miles, but couldn't sustain pace. A bit warm but not as bad as Brighton in April. Brilliant race though with lots of atmosphere. The bands were excellent and the crowds fantastic.

Tiny Runner First 5K dodging round people and being elbowed in the head by men, then developed a stitch and had to slow. Tried to pick up the pace later only for the stitch to become unbearable and had to walk :(

Not sure this marathon is ideal for petite women... it's very crowded and something like 36,000 men to 4,000 women so I got knocked about quite a bit.

Sorry if you bet on me :(

Mr Hiles Unseasonably warm weather today, and no rain like last year, all combined to slow me down over the last 10k
A new personal best by a few seconds, but slightly disappointed not to get my target time.
Apologies to those Fetchies who might have placed bets on me.

Smurfhunter Thanks to a mad dash in the final 2km - got around under 3h40. Felt good until 28km, then had to adopt the walk/ run strategy. Bit too much sun/ too hot for my liking
