Marcus Wow, what a fantastic day! I was so pleased with my race, and the support around the course, especially my own supporters' club who were just fantastic - but everything pales into insignificance compared to the 10 in 10 people who are all heroes in my book. Another truly enjoyable Windermere Marathon - congratulations Brathay.

 UPDATE
And fun was had! Wonderful event. Even better than last year. Smooth organisation, a smiling Westmorland Freemason every few metres, plenty of water and SIS sports drink, and the most gorgeous, scenic, undulating (in a Cumbrian way) course. I can understand why people want to run it ten days in a row :oP

Cat the Dog Lover Yikes!
That prediction was done fairly early on methinks. By the time race day came along I would have been happy with 5½ hours.
Major disaster when I realised I'd left my bottle belt with my go bar, lucozade tablets and jelly beans in the B&B. Chris was temporarily promoted to 'best boyfried ever' status as he ran back to get it for me.
Legs didnt really want to carry on after 22 miles. Must've been that big hill! 26th mile took forever as I'd definitely ran out of steam by then. After 22 miles I had to refuel (probably pointlessly by then) as any attempt to maintain speed meant a distinct probability of throwing up! Sheer pain after that and I'd been doing so well and so consistently up to that point.
