Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Krukers Much better than usual 1st K, as started nearer front so not held up by slower runners. Kept it together for 5k then had a couple of slow ones (4.08 ,4.05), but finished fairly strongly. Friut loaf in the goody bag- whoo hoo!.Didn't see any of my mates running.

Mountainmat In 2006 this was my first ever race. I ran 47:28 and would love to beat that time by 10 minutes. I wrote the last sentence about 4 months ago, its now the day before the race, no chance of meeting that goal, I will be satisfied with sub 41 minutes, but I can still dream. I had a very good race and am very happy with my time.

Stuart G The last of our inter club races, hope to get a good pb here! Had a rough month of training, don't bet as I'm not confident of doing the time at all!

s3tjj GUTTED! Really thought I could break 40min. Think I paid for it by going to fast for first 3k - 3'30''/km - should have kept it just under 4'/km

Grid Well it wasn't as hot as last year, but it was definitely warm and muggy. I was aiming for a 51:30 PB but came home in a disappointing 57:02. My legs felt tired from the word go, and my HR was much higher than I was expecting - I'm thinking that I must have a mild case of the lurgi. It was a real struggle from the start and I'm just pleased that I got round without walking, and that I managed to beat my time from last year. Also, absolutely had to stop for a quick wee at the half way point. I guess things can't go right at every race. Even though that's two very hard races in two years, I'm still coming back next year because it's a wonderful race. Sorry to the five Fetchies who bet on me :(
