Ally C Mixed emotions. Huge PB however 22 seconds outside that elusive sub 3 hour!! Paced it great, unfortunately the garmin clocked it at 26.5 miles so I was caught out at the end as I thought I was on for a sub 3. Could not have done much more. Great atmoshpere hugely enjoyable.

amster would love to get this time as last year i ran 3:50:00 after 7 days before running Amsterdam Ran it this year with a friend who struggled through an injury so we ran together , had a good run and enjoyed the weekend.

Hugh This is was first marathon, both legs cramped badly at mile 14. I walked for four miles and then jogged walked for the last 8. Really sprinted home to beat 5hrs and felt like crap afterwards. But it's completed now.

kenster Followed the sub 3 pacers but took about 5 miles before I started to feel good.After 12 miles I felt great and decided to kick on,felt good till about 23 miles when I started to tire a bit but managed to keep the pace up and was carried to the finish by the great support and attmosphere.14 mins pb so well chuffed!!

Mungo Shuntbox Despite some parts of Dublin having a bit of a shabby Eastern Bloc feel and appearance, and everything being twice the price it is in the UK, the race itself is great. I know the entry fee may appear high BUT you are guaranteed a place, and the support/organisation is tremendous. There is more than enough water, energy drinks, and gel sachets provided officially, but on top of this, in the latter half of the course, the good Dublin residents turn out and offer water, oranges, sweets, and so on. I can see no good reason to carry anything yourself - just pick it up as you go round. You can get to the start by many forms of public transport,there is a well organised kit dropoff, the prerace marshalling is smooth, there are pacemakers with big balloons to chase for a number of target times. The best bit - the amazing support from the residents who will cheer you on, so get your name on the front of your top so they can support you!!!

TwolfIrl YES !!!! I did it, First 5 miles were tough could not get into my stride because of crowd, may have started too far Back. But than put head down and felt good till mile 24 and than was just swept in by fab support. do you know what, i'm proud of myself knocking 37 min of my PB . I could not have dreamed of better.

Watford Wobble A run whilst on holiday celebrating second wedding anniversary. This to bag my Irish marathon. Sadly, due to a head cold I was not fit to race this marathon. Happily, I ran the whole distance with the wife. Pace 10.34. Note right ITB niggled from 19 onwards. Flat course maybe?

Zoom A pw, which I thought it would be, with all the crap that's going on at home at the moment,and has really affected my running. Pleased that I still went and did it though, and finished! Did enjoy it but won't be doing another marathon for a while.
