Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Debstir Worked hard pretty much the whole way round, but thanks to my clubmate slave-driving I managed to get another sub-2 hour half, even though the last half mile was nothing sort of pure torture and I ended up dry-baulking most of the way to the finish line :/

justcol Hard going mental torture however very rewarding.

Now having done it I would still set out fast er than should then look at driving along the Hillfoots Rd as the big scary Menstrie brae was not that scary! From the top of the brae it should be fast and steady until the finish.

HappyG(rrr) Nice day out, guiding with Ken. He did good time despite tight calf in first mile. I felt pretty good throughout, then 6.5 miles at 7:15s added on to end (a 6:49 in there!) Good organisation by Alloa round table as ever! :-)G

RunDMc Bah! Ran well for seven miles, calf popped, had to walk the last six. Half-expected it but thought it would go in first mile if it went at all; must learn not to take chances by running when injured but at least I finished.

daviec Knew by 3 miles that sub 80 wasn't on. Took the hill at 10 miles to finally kill of my PB hopes, but happy with the run in the end. Passing loads of folk from 5 onwards was nice.

Dan1006 Cracking the sub 90 in October I'm really hungry to push this lower. Together with the frustration of missing so many races due to the weather and the fact that I'm injury free(ish) should make me a good bet for a PB.

Place your bets folks.

Dvorak Third half in three weeks, I should be flying. Or the complete opposite. Update: inbetween. Faster than I expected, a course best, though slightly disappointed to tail off over the last couple of miles. Ran the first five plus with Tripletdad, then had to drop off a bit (great PB TD :-)) and a bit with Comedycare, who passed me during a foot inspection (mystery invisible sub-sole impediment) and disappeared ahead and then Tigger caught up, chatted, dropped back and then took me apart over the final stretch. About the best conditions I have run it in (ok, always *some* wind), enjoyed it much more than B2C and a nice pint after with Happy G, BlindKen and Slimboy.

Triplet Dad Using this as a lsr for Edinburgh marathon, I'd be happy with a time of around 2 hours. Update - much much better than expected, ran well came away with a 3 minute PB. Very happy.
