RunnyBunny I was poo. Set off at sensible pace, but it felt harder than it should have. Got progressively more disastrous during second half. Maybe I just wasn't 100% fit. Back to the drawing board for Hastings training.

750 Warrior My first marathon not to sure what time to expect a little bit nervous about it. training is going ok but feel as though I have nothing left after my 20 mile long runs at 9.30 a mile and there will be another 6 mile to do.

Ran it in just under 4 hours by the skin of my teeth, struggled badly at the end and it hurt plenty but enjoyed the race overall and very thankful to the organisers for plenty of fluid and gels.

man, slow Wow what a race ! So much for aiming for under 3hrs 30 min for my first marathon, would of gone sub 3hrs if it wasn't for terrible cramp inthe last mile. Achieved p/b's for 10mile and 1/2 marathon distance felt so strong from 22 mile plus, bring on the next one !!!!

Slider45 Had a decent run - was pretty well on target right through to the 24 mile mark but started to struggle over the last couple of miles. Thankfully, didn't drop off too much and had a reasonable cushion to get under 3hrs. Very well supported over the first 13 miles and well organised (apart for the car parking).

Jogging Jon Watch time: This run was harder than I thought it would be lots of climbs in the first half and warm sunshine in the second. I did a bit more walking than I would have liked, but as this is the first time I have run two marathon on consecutive weekends I am happy with the result.

Baldy Dave Plan to 8.5m/m jog round in preparation for Mallorca 5 weeks later.

Started off very slowly and dragged it back to just under 9m/miles but still a good LSR workout.
Whether it has done me any good or harm I'll find out in 5 weeks.

did just that and lovveed it! the weather was perfect
I liked this race as it took you all the way around the city and out into rural surroundings for second half - hilly but perfect for my first marathon race.

:)doh my results are in the half and not the full

Rosielad Will be my 2nd marathon. Did half last year and moving up this year. Will see what time is from Windermere before saying a pb on the way. ** UPDATE** Will surely be a pb as my time for Windermere was 4.25 with quad problems. Training going well and looking forward to pb at my home town event.
**UPDATE** All looked good till sun came out and set me on fire. Really slowed me down over last 6 mile. Was looking at 4hr 5 mins before sun shone but not upset. Pleased with result overall.

Steady Fast Debut at this distance. Excited but nervous!

Happy with the time etc - a little disappointed with how the last 3 miles went, but thats probably just inexperience for getting to 22 miles quicker than I expected

tiger-turnbull I know that this time can be a realistic target although it is undulating and taking into account that when i set my pb of 4hrs 7mins three years ago I was also nearly two stones heavier. A pb is a cert but how much can I shed of that I am not sure. To be truthful, i am looking for a time around 3hrs 30mins - but would be happy to take anything of my pb. get betting on me - its worth a gamble
