automatic shoes Thankfully the cold, bitter wind I experienced when walking from the car did not feel so bad once the race got underway. Despite the fact that I was treating this as a marathon training run and ran it at that pace, I still found getting round harder than I expected. But the main target, getting some more miles in my legs, was achieved.

Babbit Time now official, was only 1 second out with watch.

Race very windy.

Lost my water bottle so a bit dehydrated. Made it very hard going. So extra pleased to take 7 mins off previous pb.

Bob! I want to go for a PB, but it's the morning after my Works 'Christmas do'!

I need to do a 1.46.20 to equal the points I scored at Witham 5 on Boxing Day, That would be going some!,

Just taken a look, that means I's have to do 8.07minute miles which is the same as my 10 mile PB
P'raps not that fast then!

UPDATE 30/1
Had my fastest ever sub 70% WHR Run today. Have decided to have a go a 8.20 miling on Sunday, hence the new improved prediction of 1.49.10

RACE UPDATE

CanaryYellow 3 weeks after a marathon. Ran 2:05:11 but got muddled up in the finish funnel and so my official time is over a minute slower.

Hills of Death (HOD) Not running great at the mo need to rest and recover. See previous comment another poor run I think I'm overtraining despite two days rest before my legs felt stiff and heavy at start. Vicksta had great run I was aim to do a time similar to her but legs wouldn't let me. I felt very fresh at end (apart from legs) :(

SUPERWOMAN63 My 2nd time back at this event, today the weather was cold and windy .All l wanted to do was test my fitness and see if my hamstring was going to hold up. I had a very enjoyable run felt so much better than l expected and l enjoyed running with a small group most of the route , which makes a nice change for me as l do all of my training and running on my own. a GREAT race in GREAT BENTLEY nice medal too.

Tom Tom Please note-this is my watch time, not the official one (still waiting). Shouldn't be too far out though. Some tough bits in the race with that bloody wind, but a bit more sheltered than I thought it would be. As usual , great support from the marshalls all the way round, and plenty of hot tea and nosh at the village hall. Didn't like having to finish on the grass-felt like wading through treacle-but chuffed to bits with my spanky new pb! :) :) :)

Ultra Kanga Kazzaaaaah!! More enjoyable than expected given the pummelling by that wind!! After taking it out quick over the first 8.5 miles I decided to err on the side of caution and take it easy over the last few miles.

Vicksta Very pleased with the race, a massive PB and sub 1 h 40! It was hard going in the wind, so I am even more pleased with myself. Well done all who raced today, nice to see RT, HOD and Bananaman at the finish. 43rd Female, 24th in class/99.
