DaveH Looking forward to a return to Nottingham for me berfday.

UPDATE. Well the Tigger costume was a hot and sweaty choice - pretty glad the weather wasn't as toasty as Saturday but I was still sweating my nuts off. Paced Dowse round to a second (big) HM PB in a week and then nicked round to do the second half in a slight negative.

Felt good till 16 miles, running a good 2.55 pace, then my legs forgot the race plan! Too many race miles in my legs this time out.
Really didn't like the head wind on the 2nd half, didn't help my legs at all. The loop round the lake seemed to take forever!
Over all a very good event, see how it goes next year.

MAD Superman Training run not at race pace. Paced Tommo round for a PB. Despite the strong wind around Holme Pierrepont I still managed negative splits.

Foxy another good day at the office :) i was hoping for sub 4 hours after my PB yesterday at the 3togo, but then as it was going well decided i wanted sub 3.56 to give me sub 7 hours 15 for the double but at 20 miles fancied i had a chance to break 3.41 & have my first ever sub 7 hour double (2 marathons in 25 mins longer than it took me to do 1 in june !!) A great medal again.

Lieutenant Lucerne Steady first 15 miles or so, but I found the headwind at the lake a bit tiring. The final few miles were hard work, but I managed to hold on for a GFA time.

mikep Felt good for the first half - 5 min ahead of 3.30 pace. Blister started to hurt at 14. By 18 feeling very tired not helped when a tiger passed me.Got to the lake with a sub 3.30 still on then got hit by the harsh head wind. By the end of the lake I was hanging on to an outside hope of hitting my target. By 24 pace had slowed to 9 min + and hearing the end being so close but on the other side of the river with no bridge in sight got to me.
Gutted to have missed my target by 4 mins but at least it was a PB by 9 min.
Apart from the pain of the lake and a slightly over crowded feeling at a number of points during the first half it was all good.

Naomi P Hopefully a sub 8 double with the 3 to go the day before. *Update* Loved this, was on a massive high all the way round, felt great and got my second sub 4 in as many days even without a garmin for the last half. One of my favourite races, and lovely to see so many Fetchies having a good day too.

Jo-bee A great experience. Not an easy marathon as first half hilly but really enjoyed it. Second half had calf pains in left leg so had to stop and walk a couple of times which was disappointing but still got under 4.15 so quite happy.
