Boab Had a half decent run tonight considering the weekend and niggles. Dunno position, would be nice to make top 20 and get a cash prize, but will have to wait and see final results. Picked up about 10 places and lost two in the final mile. Happy enough, legs left a wee bit tired, probably from Marathon.

NotCat Chuffed to bits - ran hard for first three then hung on. Would have gotten a big 10k pb but Blaydon is not about pb's - it's a celebration of the joy of racing.

Robsta Just gannin canny been back a week from a long achilles injury it's a game of cat n mouse between me and it! 47 might be a bit hopeful but we'll see.
All things considered pleased with time given the amount of training, eased up a little because achilles tightened but only very slight ly and held til the end so Im really upbeat about that, fitness levels not great but at least I can work on that now, well done everyone.

Screeners Am over the moon with this time, did not think I could run this fast. I was at work until 6 and then straight to Biggmarket from work, toilets then race so I didn't really have time to worry about the race or sit about and get sluggish. Felt strong, overtook throughout (I started in second wave), started struggling a bit from the bridge and feeling heavy legged but my old running coach was just behind me and every time I started slowing down, she started shouting at me and telling me to get a move on. Which is just what I needed. Last mile or so was tough going as my legs felt very jelly-ish but finished with a sprint and a smile. Am very happy.

Miss Sweden I'll be running this 9 days after the Edinburgh marathon, so I won't be setting the world on fire :) I did it in 51 mins last year so anything around the 55 mark would be good.

Ended up running this with a newby friend, her first race. So took it really slowly, which was great for my legs. I also really enjoyed this run, being able to just run with no pressure :)
