Nightjar A superb race. First half flew by - the initial long ascent was followed by a loger descent and my half way time was almost spot on 2 hours. As always the second half was more grueling but up until the 21 mile mark this was just the distance telling. Then its the second major, and steeper, ascent. Most people walked a large part of it which actually provided some measure of rest and recovery in time for the mad downhill dash to the finish. It's a tough race in places but people shouldn't necessarily think that it isn't for them.
