I didn't manage to run a specific mile for the August virtual mile, so I have used a benchmark from other August runs. My fastest benchmark was 8:10, a one second SB, but that was downhill in a 5k race, so I used yesterday evening's 5k race which gave me 8:49. |

Well done Flatlander! I didn't get round to my mile in August. Will do better if not faster this month. |

Well done, flatlander. My best attempt in August was 9:15. Nowhere near my best. Hopefully September will be better. Will probably wait till Monday. |

Hello all - I've been a bit absent from mile efforts for August (HM training and being two weeks from submitting a dissertation...) so I've picked out the fastest mile from my training log, which that nice Mr Fetch tells me is 7:41. It's from the hardest session I had in the month, which was 45mins at target HM pace - this was a bit quicker than that, so probably explains why the session felt quite tough Well done everyone who's posted August times and good luck for September! |

My first time at this lark this morning - a 12:27 run/walk. I'm trying the Big Half on Sunday - maybe a GPS glitch will give me a boost |

Good luck AndyS, hope you have an enjoyable and successful day out. According to my then Garmin, in one VLM many years ago I hit 247mph down the Embankment. I can't understand why I didn't win

I'm popping back in. My hamstring seems to be a lot better *touch wood* so I'm hoping I'll be able to add in a bit of speedier running sometime soon 🤞
