Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Gobi Not a target but I would like sub 34 on this course. As part of my cutback week into Boddy(now cancelled) but have decided to do the cutback anyway.

Cocked up the cutback week and ran a 17.08/17.12 split for 34.20. 3rd in the seres and 5th tonight but bad prep cost me the chance of second or even first.

Tired and slow !!!!!!!!!!

disappointed !!!!!!!!!

SteveT 18 min dead at 5 k then died a little in the last 3km, so a little slower than I hoped for, but still got 3rd MV40 on the night and 3rd MV40 in the series :)

Rach E Last race of the series. Aim is to finish in 36:44 or better. ***UPDATE*** Pleased to run this time after my bike crash this week. Kms 3-4 were hellish as they were downhill and it jarred my face badly. Tried to hang onto Shan but she was too strong today, but pleased with another solid sub-38 in the bag. Km splits: 3:33 3:46 (uphill) 3:52 (uphill) 3:12 (downhill) 3:59 (uphill mainly but this seems slow) 7:20 (6 and 7) 4:04 3:57 4:03. I slowed badly in the second half although better than last time. Third woman and second in the series. Happy enough :-)

manicstreetpounder This is likely to be my last 10K for a while so I'm hoping to make it a good one! UPDATE: My watch time 38:04. Chip time 38:07. Unusually for me I went off at a faster pace from the start. First 5K was 18:45 but couldn't quite keep it going for the whole race, second 5K 19:22. Still pleased with the time though; but more proud of my 4-year old daughter who ran the fun run :o)

Jonny Wasn't expecting to run well as I haven't put in the training recently and I finished in around the time I expected. Legs felt weary in the 2nd half of the race and was quite light headed at the finish. Probably due to not eating much in the day.

SuperSooks Hooray! PB by 1min26 and finally under 40 minutes! I found the last 3 km very hard, but I am very pleased with my time :-) and great to get such a nice medal and free chocolate at the end!

Keefy Beefy Not the 40 or under I was after but happy enough as it's not a classic PB course. I felt like crap before (possibly ill) and my left calf was quite stiff so I was more than happy to hit 9K in 36:05. Only problem was I was totally spent and then there was a slight hill. It was enough to slow me to 4:30 pace and while I finished fast, I couldn't get it all back. Maybe time to pick a flat course! Racing flats were good but I could just as easily cut the beer and lose several times the weight advantage they give :-)

keets First three miles at just over 5k pace, slowed a bit on the long drag. Last hill hurt and glad to see the end. Managed to sprint in for a PB and finally get under 45 mins.

Konaboy Quite congested at start although once clear of the playing fields felt comfortable throughout. Could've pushed harder on the long straight between 6 & 7K (Need to do more intervals/speedwork). Probably won't be running another 10K until next year.

stevep1000uk Hopeful of improving on race 2 if I can stay injury free.
UPDATE: Quite happy with that but still faded the last 3k when was hoping to up the pace a bit. Definately need to learn how to drink from cups on the run as can't do it without choking myself.

RuthB2 very chuffed with my new PB! sub 50!! Ran a steady but hard race with Icklechick for the first 7.5k until she had to drop back, then tried to speed up. The last hill almost did for me, but I managed a little sprint finish and collapsed over the line. Very very happy.
