Eski Training hampered with achilles tendon injury. Full training schedule only started 01/02/10 which leaves little over 10 weeks. Baseline fitness is good but possibly not good enough!!!! Physio says no return to full mileage for the next two weeks so things still not looking good . . . . . .

OsloNeil Wanted to finish in a Boston Qualifying time for my age group. Officially 3.15.00, but with the extra allowable 59 seconds, I just scraped home. Had hamstring problems at around 34kms and had to stop to stretch out. Coming up the finishing straight with a zombie-like shuffle and the clock ticking down was a bit hair-raising.
Have to aim for a true sub-3.15 next time.

MissingPhoenix Very solid 1st 15 miles, lack of training and not enough water got me in the end. Just couldn't pick up the pace in the end. Weight was 14.12 about a stone more than fighting weight must get that down next time!
Great race, the mile and km markers keep you interested, great views, lots of runners and good support. Downside hardly any supporters 23-26 miles hard! Chaos at the finish trying to meet people too.

The_Saint Usual shambolic Paris water stations and parked vehicles on the course but they admitted too many entries (40000) this time I feel as the first 15K was like running in a phone box with three other people inside - shame because its way better than London as a city.

Thierry 68 Great race! The weather was fantastic. I went completely glycogen-depleted after km 38, struggled to reach the last water station and then recovered well enough to finish in good conditions. Need to loose some weight as carrying 85 kg is not exactly ideal for marathon running!
Pleased with the PB.

Imogen Really well organised, gorgeous city & perfect weather. Really enjoyed this, my first marathon, even though my torn hamstring meant I had pain even before the start. Took it real easy & was pleased to make it round.

Freeman From the Preferential Start (sub-3hr runners) this was a great race. I understand that further back there was a worrying lack of facilities. Still I had a great time - good weather, great course, brilliant crowds and a wonderful celebratory dinner afterwards.
