Well done Idris.

I had a go this morning, used the first mile of the Aviemore Parkrun route - it was more undulating than I remembered. Anyway 8.15, so not a bad attempt. Not sure if I will get another go this month or not.

Well done Idris bunting
No September mile for me as I have a race in two weeks and was actually doing tempo runs etc in prep, and the all out mile didn’t fit in
Hopefully will do one in the last week of the month

I attempted my mile this morning having missed September. I'm getting slower, a 7 minute mile this morning. Now I'm not using an asthma inhaler this could be the new me but it won't stop me trying. 3 parts of the run was also into a head / side wind.

FF, I guess it will take a while before you can really tell if not using the asthma inhaler is having any effect or not.

Yes I agree Flatlander. I just don't like being slower than when I started ;-)

I missed September as well, unfortunately🤔. However, after a little easy run this evening, I went for a spur of the moment rinse out. The result was 7.07!!! My fastest ever time since being on Fetch.

I didn't expect that!😀

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
