First time I’ve done this, and managed 9.40. Something to aim for next month!

Well done Hibeedeb, it's good to get a target in place. :-)

I've left it a bit late this month - again ;-) .

After the poor time of 9:14 on Wednesday, as the wind assisted 3rd mile in a 6 miles run (my legs didn't want to come with me), I had another try this morning in a 4 miles run.
Much better, 8:28, a bit wind assisted but the 2nd half was up a gentle slope. Nearer to my SB of 8:11 in July.

Well done Flatlander. I will probably enter a benchmark mile time if I remember or think about it.

Off to Suffolk next week. Might have a go at an October mile along the sea front one day

Well done Flatlander.

I haven't managed a crack at the mile this month, but running has been going well so I hope to one one soon for October.

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
