Oh damn, itโ€™s getting closer to end of the month again ๐Ÿ˜‚ maybe Thursday.
If you've done any fast long intervals as part of a planned workout, I think it's gair game to use the Fetch training log to find the fastest mile portion in that, and log that for the virtual mile.

Yes that could work Steve , but I have no runs with portions close to the speed I would need :). I like to do it as a specific run.

Good idea, NordRunner. I won't be able to fit in another mile attempt this week so might look at the intervals sessions I've done this month.

I didn't want the month to go by without an attempt so even though I'm coming back from being ill I decided to give it a go this morning.

I amended my usual loop slightly, and annoyingly that put a couple of bike barrier-chicane things in my way, but I was really pleased to end up with 9:52. Anything starting with a 9 is a huge relief!

If I can't get out Friday I will log my slower one from the other week
but do I use the garmin split or the FetchMile split which is faster but still slower than my mile last month! haha

I did a 7:54 in the middle of the month which I was delighted with (was expecting closer to 8:30). I'm going to do another tomorrow and see what that gives me.

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
