Well done alpenrose, I often want to stop too but it's mostly before I start ;-)

Well done AR.

Had our club mile races last night. My solo attempt on my straight flat route earlier in the month was 8:47. Last night racing the road loop I got 8:34. Normally I would say the club race is harder as the road surface isn't as good and also there are corners to turn, but having people to race definitely makes a difference.

Excellent running westmoors, always better racing people than yourself.

Unfortunately, I have got slower. ;-)
June's run was 8:47 :-) , July's attempt today was a horrendously slow 10:14 :-( "thanks" to yet more disrupted nights.
If ever I get some proper sleep again I'll have another go later this month. :-)

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
