July virtual mile. Usual out on back course on gravel path on old pit.
Slowest of last few months but have had 2 injuries since last go. Overall pleased but may have another go toward end of month

Well done riggys99, I hope the injuries have cleared up and you have no more issues.

I'm considering doing mine when I get up later or I may leave it until Thursday, we'll see.

57 Fetchies have 'entered' the July virtual mile, good luck with your attempt this month.

I had a go at my mile this morning and didn't run as well as I hoped a bit slower than the last couple of months, 6.43.

I had an attempt at the weekend but it was slower
I may try again this weekend otherwise next Friday
My long runs are getting longer so I may be slower due to fatigue or I may be slightly faster as I am getting used to trying to run faster!

Must be something in the water people going slower

Legs feel fine today after yesterday so hopefully injuries are healed and recovering

I am planning on giving this a try. Won't be anywhere near a PB that I did years ago but I will try.

I'm nowhere near PB either Lesley C but trying to get used to running hard for a mile.

That's me completed week 2 of my run/walk programme. Have run 6 times and benchmark mile has come down each time from 15.01 to 13.54 today. I am highly delighted :)

I've had a couple of goes at my virtual mile so far this month but not improved on my time. Will probably give it one more go next week and declare the best time of the three attempts! 😉😂

Well done DQ and everyone else.

I should get this done this week, I've run quite a bit this last week and hope to squeeze it in as an extra run on Thursday so probably won't be improving my time this month.

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
