Well done DQ. I'm trying to do speedwork every Wednesday as part of a (kind of) structured plan. I *may* attempt a mile tomorrow. Trying to work out where's good to do it, as I would want to do a warm up and cool down (on top of my anti-injury wander that I do before and after every run I do).

Good luck all those who are planning to have a go and well done to those that have had a go at the virtual mile.

I did a fast mile in my run this lunchtime. It was 7:59 - faster than I expected. Really happy with that. Hopefully I can do similar next month.

I skipped club yesterday as my legs were still a bit knackered so I went out this evening and did my mile. I managed to knock some more time off and managed 10.27. I really wanted to stop but somehow managed to keep going to the end.

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
