Never reported my jan 24 time that happened on the first of jan a 6:17 as part of the Cleethorpes NYD 10k.

I have thrown my hat into the ring, meant to for ages. My run had a quicker bit at the end, a tad uphill. 10 minutes. I reckon I can knock a bit off of that, we'll see how the month and year goes...

It was OK. I reckon 9.30 is probably on at the moment, not made an effort if that length in ages, so that's why I have joined in, purely to make me have a go!

I didn't manage a separate mile nor 5k effort on January due to illness so I just counted the benchmarks from the 10k at the end of the month. Pretty slow by my standards as it was more like LT pace, so the only way is up. I hope I can attempt a mile on the track next week. I'm getting my mojo back.

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
