Looby Loo
LazyDaisy I feel your pain. I logged a 9.13 from a benchmark for Jan as also following a marathon plan. It is one whole second quicker than Dec :-)

LazyDaisy is tapering but could still recover in time from a virtual mile :-)

Well done Looby Loo for bettering December's mile time, it doesn't matter how much faster, just that you were ;-)

There are books available to help you run faster distances and I have an offer in my blog if you want to have a look.

Although not ideal conditions, I attempted my mile today. Lungs and legs did not want to play but the head said to keep going. It felt really hard and I'm sure it was into the wind! 8:48.

Dumb question but just seen this - does one have to do it on the first of the month or 'early in the month, first one counts'? Or something?

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
