Kirsty about 4 months before me as I started early Jan 2006. Parkrun was less than 18 months old and you handed your token over and told them your name at the finish.

Congratulations Kirsty.

A man called Hollywood, Who sometimes dresses as a pirate!, convince me to meet him and a load of like minded people in Bushy Park back in 2006. For BPTT.

I cycled 11 miles to get there. Hung out at a cafe afterwards. My Saturday mornings were never the same.

I ran a new parkrun in Scotland last week, around an ancient volcano in Edinburgh (Holyrood parkrun). The course is great. 1/3 up hill, then a little respite before probably 2.5KM downhill to the finish. One of my favourite courses.

57.5 Degrees of Pain
I finally made it to a US event Saturday, the fairly new Susquehanna Riverwalk parkrun. Only 6 participants despite perfect weather, but they hope to use the local college's staff welfare organisation to help recruit participants.
