I would recommend Burnham and Highbridge as being not far off the M5. Longrun Meadow is a bit of a trek through Taunton, especially at the moment as there are roadworks on the Toneway.

Killerton is the most scenic/ challenging of the ones along there and you don't lose much time if you come off at J28 and go along the old A38.
I'll be at Exmouth again but I wouldn't say it was close to the M5!

Thanks HT I’ll have a look at Burnham.

(I wouldn’t rule out going back to one I’ve already run at - I’ve done Killerton and Exmouth. We have friends who are regularly in Exmouth so ran when they were down there a couple of years ago. Burnham sounds convenient 😊)

There's Cranbrook too, which isn't too far off J29 of the M5. It's a new 'country park' which will be nicer once the countryside's grown up around it, but it's fine. The start and finish aren't in the same place though!

Good point LittleDonkeyDaisy I'd forgotten about Cranbrook. I actually prefer it to Longrun, its less busy and parking is dead easy.

westmoors Newent is quite an interesting one and much better than you might think from the course map and description. A bit in the middle of nowhere though
