Blast from the past this thread! Remember Fake parkruns? Remember Covid? What different times they were (and as an introvert I miss some aspects of it!)

I do remember them, fondly! I reached peak fitness going into lockdown, and then improved further. I ran my parkrun PB in December '19, 5 mile PB in Feb '20, and HM PB in Sept '20 - all at live races, too. Happy days.

Fake parkruns. Bonkers when you think back. Crazy times. I did The Fakes for 15 months before real parkrun return. I certainly embrace & appreciate the social aspect more now. Pandemic was a lonely time. Curse that Covid.

I had a spike in mileage and probable fitness during Covid.
Missed those quiet roads and everyone keeping their distance.
