I've been "strained" for most of 2 weeks

I went to bed at 8.45 last night and slept through 2 alarms this morning - I think I was tired so maybe Garmin was right!
My battery was the highest it's been for 2 weeks and RHR closer to it's norm

Garmin still thinks I need to rest today but also wants me to run harder sessions. The P&D with longer runs then usual doesn't agree with it.

RHR is going down, it was 49 at the beginning of the plan, now down to 42-43. Body battery is fully recharged so I'm good to go.

Mine says I slept for 10 hours and 43 minutes, haven't done enough training recently, and should do 37 minutes at 11:45mm today. It grudgingly approves of last night's HRV of 61.

sleep 9hr 51! (only awake 9 mins)
sleep score 84
7 day av HRV only 55 (baseline is 63) last night was much better at 68 but previous days have been 50 or less
battery drained 34 already today with little happening ie just sat at a desk
I'm fully recovered and as such a 45 mins threshold run is recommended
RHR last night back to 56 (low is about 54) but has been at or just below 60 most of the last 7 days
I'm either fighting something or suffering from much motorway driving over christmas

My HRV has gone up from low to unbalanced, training status from strained to maintaining and resting HR has gone down to 51. Looks like I’m recovering 😁.

Sleep score 94! Must admit I do feel nicely rested today - slept for 8 hours 37 which sounds about right.
Training readiness is High (75) and Training status is productive (improved from overreaching) after a rest day (yoga only) yesterday.
Resting heart rate has also improved from 51 to 47.
Body battery was 89 when I woke up and has reduced by 25 so far.

Maybe the daily yoga is having a positive impact? Or just recovery from a ramp up in mileage over Christmas?

Anyway, my watch wants me to do 30 mins at base pace today, so I will obey (and maybe knit a bit more on at the end?!)

Sounds like you may be fighting something Pix or just recovering from stress?

Yes Treacle it does sound as if body says No!
I did a few weights and a short walk yesterday and will have a short walk today
I was supposed to get up at 5.30 today for my run commute but ended up getting up gone 7 (start work at 8!)

Doing my long run today right after the MLR yesterday will get Garmin on my case, I'm sure. It's already telling me to rest. My training load will exceed what it thinks I should be doing. That's the whole point of marathon training, teaching the body to deal with higher loads.

On the positive side, body battery is almost fully charged at 92. I had a good night of sleep, nearly 8 hours.

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!

What's your Garmin say?
