With a 1 year guarantee I'd jump at it. If it works then you're quids in and if not you get your money back. Vast majority will be barely opened boxes that people didn't want for some reason.

I love my Garmin Vivoactive 4. And Garmin also do the £50 or £60 thing, once out of warranty, that you can get a replacement if it breaks. I used that a couple of times to extend life of older Garmins because it was the cheapest way of getting a working Garmin, rather than forking out for new one. :-) G

I bought a refurb Vivoactive a year or two ago and it’s been brilliant. Just no box, as jda hints..

No recommendations for a Vivoactive 5? I’ve been looking at that as my FR25 is giving up (after 8 years). Is there anything I should know about it?

Got something to say?

As above.
My 2 nd or 3rd Garmin is dying after > 5 years service. It’s done ok - lasted as long as I did at 2018 Comrades 11hr55 For first ever DNF, and probably helped me on about 30-40 marathons so doesn’t really owe me much.
Since I fell and bashed screen a couple of months ago , moving function hasn’t worked 99% time , so everything recorded as run, but not being able to change the time easily has been a real hassle , especially with travelling across time zones recently.
