I'm having a very very very frustrating time with my Garmin 735xt today!
It has failed to sync with my phone. Even though my phone still showed it as a paired device on its Bluetooth screen, my watch says it is 'waiting to connect'. I've done everything I can think of: restarted both phone and watch, uninstalled and reinstalled the Garmin Connect app on the phone, and, foolishly, unpaired the watch from my phone (with the intention of re-pairing it). Foolish because now, when I scan for devices, even though the watch says 'waiting to connect', the phone isn't finding the watch.
Any clues as to what I do next please?

So what I did next was turn my phone and watch off *again* and went off to empty the washing machine. When I came back and turned them both back on, this morning's run loaded onto my phone app straightaway.
Which is odd, because the watch is still not showing as a paired device.
All very strange

Android or iPhone? (I had some connectivity issues, WiFi and Bluetooth, with the last-but-one android 10 update.)

Android Oranj, but I'm not aware of any overnight update (it was working normally yesterday.)

Have you tried connecting it to a laptop with the USB charging wire?

That often seems to confuse it PK If I charge it in that way (I have a Chromebook) sometimes the laptop detects it and I can to 'close' the connection properly; other times it's not detected and when I disconnect it it then takes ages for the watch to reset to the correct the time.
Bizarrely, despite no longer showing on my phone's list of paired devices, it's syncing fine again. On the watch, when I go to the 'pairing' screen, it says it's already paired with my phone.
I think the issue earlier this week might have been a phone problem rather than a watch but who knows? As long as the watch gets the training to Fetch that's all I need

Well as long as its fixed now. I had wondered if it was a software update it needed, but if it causes more problems then maybe best not to.
