Did my attempt last night. Normally run straight after work but decided to postpone it until later in the evening to let the air cool! It was still very hot and I don't think my heart was really in it, but it was in the plan. 9:14. The second slowest this year.

The heat isn't helping at all westmoors, it's a shame your heart wasn't in it but who wants to run fast in this weather tbh. However you do deserve a well done for having a go.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.
