Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

The Covid Framework, which we are supposed to still be adopting, does say to discourage hanging around afterwards.

It will be the usual as throughout the pandemic. Those that follow the guidance will disperse, others will hang around. No way to enforce.

They'll enforce it at Workington by not opening the "café", which is a pop-up arrangement with a kettle and donated cakes in the cricket club close to the finish, and most attenders are local and know one another and I suspect the core team won't hesitate to shoo away people who are hanging around the finish area.

I fear the team at Leicester Victoria parkrun might not be as vocal but I'm happy to get proved wrong.

I’m torn between wanting to support the cafe but also not wanting to be part of a large group hanging around (albeit out in the open)

I meant to take a snap of my breakfast as part of an album to remember the day.

This is all I got. Too keen to dig in!

Great day. Emotional on the start line when the RD did their bit. Glad to be back running with the parkrun community.
