Are you holidaying up there DG or will it be a special trip for parkrun?

It'll be a special trip just for the parkrun.

Obviously, I have to wait for parkrun in Scotland to start again, then find a weekend when I'm not needed at Cleethorpes.

We've got a lot of folk locally employed in offshore oil and gas so we have regular scheduled flights from Humberside to Aberdeen, plan being to get to Aberdeen however, boat over, parkrun and a day in Lerwick, back to Aberdeen overnight for a few hours wanderings in the morning and then home.

Also looking at the possibility of taking the train at least one way between here and Aberdeen instead.

I'm a big fan of the journey as well as the destination, so it's a plan that suits me well.

I do fancy Mount Edgcumbe. Hopefully in the late Summer when the ferry trip will be pleasant.
I've heard it's a toughie, so maybe walk a bit of it given the state I'm in these days lol

There's a coincidence, on another forum I saw that someone from southern parts was looking into a rail/sail trip to Bressay. Maybe you could compare notes with them? ;-)

I want expecting to be tourist planning for the return of parkrun, but Ensure 24 starts this weekend at Henley (actually East of Henley). My NENDY is Marlow just down river. Might have to and that's sort of legitimate.

I'm not parkrunning til the summer's over I think but I'm looking forward to doing more touristing now I'm free of core team responsibilities :-)

I wondered when I read Helen Hood's email today if they've lost quite a few volunteers over the hiatus. I expect they'll come back eventually.
