GH - I'm not sure I missed it enough to celebrate a restart. If I waited 6 months I wouldn't be worried.

However, when your other half is a newbie you put aside personal views sometimes.

Oh and it is a lovely parkrun location.

I've been on 99 home parkruns since just before lockdown. I shall be very happy to do my 100th - eventually :-)

Och weel, have a good holiday anyway Gobi. Lie-in on Saturday, then again you might want to be on the bikes at daybreak to beat the rain.

For the selfish reason of trying to get several arbitration milestones to coincide with my birthday next summer (so I only have to take cake one time) I plan to do very little parkrunning this year.

Instead I'm volunteering at different localish parkruns.

I have time keeping shifts booked at Wolverhampton's East Park and Bedworth so far. I will try to add Wolverhampton's West Park, Sutton Park, and Lichfield's Beacon park to that list soon.

DV - you know I think 6am is a lie in ?

Half the problem with parkrun is it starts in the middle of the day:-)

Our cafe is under new management. Good news is that they now accept contactless payment so no need to rattle round the course with loose change in my pocket :-)

Ours too, which is a huge shame as the previous manager was a parkrunner and incredibly supportive. This one doesn't seem to be interested. Perhaps he will change his mind after Sat.

At Workington, which has its own post-parkrun coffee arrangements, we've been told that for the first few weeks back we shouldn't hang around when we've finished running. Other local parkruns are saying, "Support the café, it's open." It doesn't make any difference to me because I'll be going straight to work after running.
