A.C No PB...like the course tho. The official event timing was rubbish. My time on my stopwatch which I forgot to turn off until for around ten seconds after the end was 1.36.31. So real time was probably closer to 1.35. Ho Hum.

Nightjar Tough course and I gave it what I could. Pleased with the time given that I picked up a cold yesterday. Apols to the peeps that bet on me - self included - but a PB was just beyond me. Mind you, if I'd known how close it was...

Boingy Great weather and course, and very well organised. Some testing hills in the first half, but would you believe it, a new PB ! Don't know where that came from, but I'm really chuffed with it. Kept to my target of 8min/mile for the first half, thought that would kill me because of the hills, but felt great so upped in the last 6 to come home over 3 min quicker than my previous best. Very happy ! (used my watch time, official time 1:40:23) ** Splits - 8.25 7.55 7.43 7.54 7.55 8.01 7.25 7.30 7.43 7.22 7.04 7.12 7.04 **

Runner Martin Damaged the achilles two weeks ago at Fred Hughes and been suffering with flu, yesterday felt like death, ran this and expected a PW about 2 hour but really suffered and came in at 2:17, but well pleased to have finished under the circumstances

PSC want to break the 2 hour barrier - AND DID SO..... A pb by about 10 minutes.... thanks to everyone who betted on me - it kept me going! What a tough old course - haven't worked out whether there was a negative split in my time, but just had enough to raise the pace to
a 7 min mile (final mile) for the finish. Couldn't run to catch a bus now tho - left lower leg siezed completely. Frankly I don't care - target set and achieved! Thanks Watford..... Nice to meet a few folk - Banaman, Boingy, Hod, Mick n Phil - defo advantages about wearing a Fetch T Shirt! :-) Well organised and cracking day - thanks to the Watford Team!!

linsblake Started off brilliantly and was on course for my first sub two hour when my knee went at mile 7. Had it bandaged up at St Johns station at 8.5 miles and then hobbled/ran the rest of the way. Spent nearly 10 mins being patched up so in reality not too shoddy a time considering!

Lovely course - not as challenging hill wise as I had been lead to believe, well organised and lovely marshalls.

Fantastic weather, fantastic course (even with the killer hills!)

Crumpet My first Half Marathon and I really enjoyed it. A few tough hills but nice scenery made up for it. Very well organised.

Delighted with my time considering and will attempt to beat it at the MK Half in a few weeks time.
