IanS Feck me that was hard... First half went okay but found it hard to get going again after stopping at the first water stop. Coffin trail never seemed to end...

SPKoF A course best. Ran with a heavy cold and tight chest. Perhaps not sensible but then I rarely am.

Bret coffin trail will pay this year!! currently on anitbiotics for a chest infection, so could be a bit of a struggle, especially up coughing trail! *well chuffed, managed to run the whole course and knock 6mins off last years time, despite getting over man flu and a chest infection!!*

Jezzer Did Derwentwater last year as my first trail race. Absolutely hated the uphill section but loved the downhill and in a moment of madness have signed up for all four races this year.

ebox Second time I've done this race. It is a killer. hats off to anyone who can run up the coffin trail. It's both steep and too slippery. Descents are somewhat insane too.

Lisrun Three hills, but great fun. This comes midway between FLM and Lochaber. Sheer madness, but I wouldn't miss this :-):-) *Update* Cold in the wind. Five minutes slower than last year which is good as wanted to take it easy.

julbags Think this will be more difficult than the Coniston one I did last year, I mountain bike in the area regularly so know how painful this is going to be!

XB Great race. Set out at a nice relaxed pace and kept going all the way round. Struggled on the downhills with a sore knee. Very pleased to get a PB by over 20 mins :-) Didn't like the choc covered kendal mint cake though.

Vickyy Debut race - just back from 8 weeks out so was restricted to 10/11 min pacing so wore head cam round the course and chatted and took it all in. Superb

OVERTHELAST Ran round with the missus for the first 11k then enjoyed the coffin road and downhill to home. Great fun and very hard, but did not enjoy my spectacular fall - on a rare flat bit bizarrely, thanks to those around offering commiserations, no lasting damage done.

Trenchfoot Didnt train enough and paid the price - this was hard work - really need to sort out some quality hill training - but not many hills near home - its hard to spot a single contour line on the map ......... flat..maybe 100 repeats of the canal bridge ..... more scope at work must explore ..

kstuart That was a tough race, 1450 foot of climbing going by my garmin which also measured 9.66 iles meaning it was a reasonably accurate distance ;) My 2 months odd of non running due to injured show as it was hard work going up even the small hills let alone the coffin trail so i was happy to get inside 2 hours in the end.

Shins held up nicely bar the 8 min miling at the start, blame FBR and his insistance we were near the front. No bother at all from them on the way round, my knees hurt on the hily bits but thats normal for these races. Looking forward to tomorrows 8 mier in tatton park and roll on Halstead marathon in 3 week.

Stepford Wife Fantastic course, amazing place to run, shame I ran a shocker. Had stomach pain so bad I had to walk downhill at one point. That wore off and it became much more pleasant although the legs wouldn't play. So look at the views, find the tadpoles and get to the end. :-)
