Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

paulhalford Get your bets on for guaranteed win. I broke my half-marathon PB in the second half of the LM and am taking a couple of minutes off that in training. Course is long and always hit by winds but should be on for mid-73s.

Flat Out Fi Was v pleased with my time. It was a v windy course and quite warm too! Was aiming for sub 1 hr 30 min so wasnt far off!

Came back £65 richer as I won the FV35 and we also won the Ladies team prize again! 16 Striders took part today as it was one of our Club Championship races!

Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) Part of 18 mile long run, first time at this event :) ermmm seemed to do this at a little faster than planned, turned out to be at planned marathon pace rather than long run pace. First in category :-)

AngeM Grunty Fen Half. Decided to run without Garmin. Just had the watch running but didn't look down at it very much. We got our halfway splits and I was doing okay with 54 minutes at halfway. Then hangover from that stomach bug of the last 6 days made it known with that horrible stomach cramping, probably all that jigging about of my stomach. So made decision to ease off and jog-walked from about 8.5 miles, not wanting to have one of those awful emergency loo episodes that I've had recently. Never mind. Fairly windy and warm. Still managed marathon long run pace....

Debbie G I know this will be a PW but it will give me a chance to see how my training is going towards my next marathon challenge.

Pleased with time and finished strong so hope to be back under 2 hours during October (fingers crossed)

5th year in a row I've done this race - excellent marshalling as usual :-)

Brandon-Hedgehog went too fast at the start. need to learn to pace myself and not go off like the prverbial hare. deceptive long incline on both laps into wentworth village but otherwise flat course.

Hash Includes taking a tumble and getting back up again to make the finish line so pretty chuffed. St John's are wonderful, can't decide now between running VLM for them or Help for Heroes, who I'd planned on
