Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

BK brighter days ahead would you say I’d get away with road shoes this time of year? I see there is a small section that can get muddy but I’m not aiming for a PB or anything and don’t mind having to slow down for that bit.

chunkywizard Broadwater has rugby pitches to run round (grass, mud) some woodland trail and tarmac path around the lake. Reasonably grippy shoes would help and you might find you lap people around the lake and need to go off path. There are loos by the start but no cafe, only a coffee van. Parking is a 10 minute amble from the start.

DV - as a former resident(Hallglen is straight up and out the top of the woods) of the area who ran much further up that hill it does amuse me that people find it so hard.

It has so much more to give :-)

Falkirk has the best part of an uphill mile to start & if you’re pushing hard HH is at a bad time tbf, but I get your point😀

In some ways that far side drag is worse as you barrel along that perfect flat to get to it.

Less steep but a long drag indeed Ally-C

Don't know if this link works, but at least the river crossing in the parkrun doesn't have to be like this from the National Cross Country last weekend!!
