We are off to Wales in the campervan in a couple of weeks and I was looking at Hafan Pwllheli parkrun. Has anyone done it, and if so any tips for a cafe etc afterwards? I was looking at campsites and was thinking about one called Penrallt Bach for 2 or 3 nights - does anyone know if about one, or somewhere nice in a similar area?

(I am posting this on the campervans thread as well :) )

Thanks BK. I’m still undecided - I’m not bothered about getting wet and/or muddy but I don’t want to fall over :)

Yep, just done the course check, a few puddles by the sea wall but nothing serious and I reckon they’re probably salt water so shouldn’t freeze.

Had a change of plan for the wife’s 200th & instead of Falkirk went to the University of Stirling.

Lovely Sunny day.

Went to Hilly Fields this morning and yes there were hills and fields - exactly as it says on the tin. Had to walk a bit, but another one ticked off. Volunteers were as wonderful as ever.

Well, I ended up wearing light trail shoes at Bexley and it was definitely the right choice as anywhere that wasn’t tarmac was slippy mud. I overtook quite a few people on the 10%-ish of the course that was off-path.

I spent this first mile following the 35, 36 and 37 minute pacers who were all running together, I got the impression they weren’t sure who was right and who was wrong. Not a complaint as I don’t suppose pacing is easy, but it amused me :)
