April mile in at 7:00. Quite a bit slower than last month (6:45). It was wet and windy, my watch was playing up and GPS coverage poor - good excuses!

One of 3 in the 3 x 1 mile interval session from P&D. This has actually disappeared from the latest edition but I put it back in replacing 4 x 1200m so as to get a benchmark for my virtual mile. Seems I wanted to suffer a bit.

I'm hoping to have a go next week on the road. I'm reasonably familiar with where I plan to go but need a recce first I think

I’ve had attempt #1 this morning - 7 seconds faster than last month and it’s nudged my WAVA standard up to Hyena 😁

Excellent, GM. :) I'm going to try and fit my virtual mile in towards the end of next week.

Nice one GM. I'd be delighted with 7 seconds off my time ;-)

I hope being a hyena is making you laugh at how much you've improved GimmeMedals. I'm positive there's more to come too.

Well done HazelnutCH I'd be encouraged by the discrepancy of 15 seconds because it was part of an interval session.

Good luck Derby Tup and Ness for your miles. I still have mine to do too.

About This Thread

Maintained by Fenland Flier
For encouragement and general chat about the virtual mile challenges.

It's not easy pacing a mile race whether it's virtual or real, be it on track, road, grass or trail. Go out too hard initially and struggle towards the end, go out too soft and regret your finish time.

Use this thread to record your jubilation or allow us to commiserate with you.
